About this deal
Motorised Brush Tool. This is the most important tool, as it has a spinning brush bar that’s great for removing more hair and dirt. You’ll need to clean the filter to make sure the Pet Hair Eraser continues to run at its optimum level. To do this, just rinse it with warm water and leave it to dry. Make sure the filter is fully dry before you use the vacuum again though. Battery Life
How does the Pet Hair Eraser compare to other handheld vacuums for pet hair? And is it worth the price tag? Read our Bissell Pet Hair Eraser review to find out. Overview of the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser Handheld’s Features A bonus is that the Pet Hair Eraser also has a relatively large 0.7 litre dust capacity. You’ll still need to regularly empty the dust canister, but it can hold more hair and dirt than many handheld vacuums. The Gtech Multi Mk2, for example, only has a 0.4 litre dust capacity. The Pet Hair Eraser weighs 1.36kg. This is around average weight for a handheld vacuum, but is considerably lighter than the bulkier cordless models produced by Dyson and Gtech. It’s heavier than the Shark WV200UK handheld, but the Shark model has a smaller capacity. Brushroll: The brushroll can be removed but you need a Philips screwdriver to remove the 10 screws that hold in the base cover. After that, you can remove the brushroll belt that holds it in place, and you can pull or cut out debris or hair tangled around the brush. Brushroll belt: Just like the brushroll, you need to take out all the screws first to access this part. The belt may need to be removed if there's any clogged debris or tangled hair on the brushroll. It just needs to be inspected to see if it's damaged or needs replacing. The Bissell has a triple filtration system, which helps keep dust, pet dander, and other allergens inside the vacuum cleaner.
It’s compact enough to store under your kitchen sink or on the top shelf of a closet, but we were surprised to find that it's a bit heavier than many other hand vacuums. Crevice Tool. A useful extra tool for cleaning in tight spaces. It’s shorter than we would like though.
Remove pet hair from almost anywhere
There are a couple of noteworthy features of these attachments. For one, the head of the upholstery tool can be pivoted into a T formation, but we had to manhandle it a little—it’s not an easy transition, so don’t be afraid to put some muscle into it. Second, you can actually use the upholstery tool in tandem with the crevice tool if you need to get into a tight space. We didn’t find an application for this feature, but it’s there should you need it. There’s no HEPA filter, however, so we don’t think it’s the best option for people with an allergy. Dust and other small particles can also escape when you’re emptying the vacuum, so make sure you do this outside. Emptying & Cleaning All of the tools are easy to attach and built to a high standard. The motorised brush tool is highly effective, although it needs to be held at the correct angle to maximise cleaning power. Post-motor (HEPA) filter: This filter can't be washed. You have access to it once you remove the dirt compartment, and you just need to twist it to take it out. If dust/debris accumulates on it, gently tap the filter against a trash container to remove it.
