About this deal

MC Beaton is such a prolific writer, and evidently people love this series as well, so I am very glad for her success and perseverance. I would love to read about Agatha's character development. She can still have insecurities, character 'flaws' and also be compassionate and vulnerable. (ie someone you care about, root for and relate to) Agatha is shallow and hateful. When she does good, she seems to regret it and everything that happens is a downer. I truly do not want to hear her inner dialogue. The crusty old lady has decided to make things right with the man upstairs by willing the estate to charity, starting a school in her name. The problem is, her adult kids Jeffrey (Kevin Bishop) and his wife Alison (Emerald O’Hanrahan), Sadie (Zoe Telford) and Fran (Emma Cunniffe), are expecting to inherit it and splitting the proceeds of a sale. Phyllis definitely thinks her kids will kill her over it and want Agatha to come to her “holiday surprise” announcement as protection.

The actual mystery was boring and confusing. The other characters are so flat but could be interesting if Agatha wasn't so closed off. Comedians Jon Richardson and Lucy Beaumont host a Christmas getaway for some of their closest friends. Billionaire Blooms (29 December) The holiday special is a British TV tradition, and it’s a pretty good one, if you ask us. Instead of forcing a hit show into a semi-yearly Christmas episode, they all get together and do a feature-length special that has that warm holiday feeling but also a real story — or at least one that’s not a treacly mess. The latest hit series from the UK to get a holiday special is Agatha Raisin , the fashionable publicist-turned-sleuth played by Ashley Jensen. AGATHA RAISIN: KISSING CHRISTMAS GOODBYE: STREAM IT OR SKIP IT? Exclusive behind-the-scenes access to some of the most internationally celebrated florists as they cater to the luxury end of the market, creating designs for the most discerning clients imaginable. Britain’s Most Expensive Houses (29 December) In his last ever Piers Morgan’s Life Stories, Piers is joined by Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway. Walk The Line (12 December)

Six celebrities per episode will take centre stage as they embark on the ultimate musical theatre masterclass, each hoping to steal the show with their spectacular performance and be voted All Star Musicals Champion. Bradley and Barney Walsh: Breaking Dad at Christmas (TBC) A close group of summer-campers finds diamonds in the woods, setting off a wild ordeal that tests their friendship – and puts their lives in danger. Money Heist (Photo: Tamara Arranz/Netflix) Coming Out Colton (3 December) Series 4 will start production in March. Like Series 3, Series 4 will adapt four novels and will be available as eight by 45-minute episodes or four by 90-minute television movies. The novels to be adapted are Agatha Raisin: Kissing Christmas Goodbye, Agatha Raisin: Love, Lies & Liquor, Agatha Raisin & the Spoonful of Poison, and Agatha Raisin: There Goes the Bride. The Acorn TV Original series will debut the new episodes in late 2021/early 2022. After landing her dream job in Paris, Chicago marketing exec Emily Cooper embraces her adventurous new life while juggling work, friends and romance. Minnal Murali (24 December) Dame Julie Walters, Hugh Dancy and narrator David Harewood star in the animated adaptation of Sir Terry Pratchett’s short story. Terry Pratchett’s The Abominable Snowbaby (Photo: Channel 4) The Great Christmas Bake Off (25 December) When Mrs Tamworthy engages Agatha to find out who wants to kill her, it leads to many hidden, dark secrets for the Tamworthy family. The detective agency starts digging around (literally) and they come up with several suspects and lots of trouble. Bradley and Barney Walsh will be up to snow good as they take their famous RV across the sea to the magical island of Iceland, for a special bumper Christmas episode of the beloved father-and-son travel show. All 4 24 Hours in A&E series 25 (2 December) In the run-up to the festive season, Kitty becomes convinced that Santa has made an early stop at Button House when Mike and Alison discover a man living in a tent on their grounds. Not Going Out (23 December)She is so unlikable that is why she is lonely and bitter. As I age, I find my esteem through my wisdom and experience and encourage younger folk to be happy and free. Agatha has disdain and jealousy. This is antiquated for today's audience and btw I am over 50. Stream It Or Skip It: 'A Nearly Normal Family' On Netflix, Where A Family's Secrets Come Out When The Daughter Is Accused Of Murder Car notre Agatha est lasse et s'ennuie fermement - James Lacey est en vadrouille, ouf ! Pourquoi ne pas organiser un réveillon exceptionnel en invitant tous ses amis ? Oui, oui... elle récidive, après une expérience mémorable (rappelez-vous dans Bal fatal). Meantime Agatha took on Toni a 17 year old trainee detective. Toni was a natural and managed to achieve some good results. Agatha shows her maternal side when she discovers that Toni comes from an abusive home. It sounds turns out that Agatha is merely look after her investment.

Not better because I love M.C. Beaton's books, but definitely an enhanced and enjoyable experience. Holden and the crew of the Rocinante fight alongside the Combined Fleet of Earth and Mars to protect the Inner Planets from Marco Inaros and his Free Navy’s campaign of death and destruction. Meanwhile, on a distant planet beyond the Rings, a new power rises. With Love (17 December) The enjoyment from this special doesn’t come from the mystery of who killed Phyllis. That mystery plods along, and is obtuse enough that it doesn’t encourage the audience to try to solve things along with Agatha. Also, finding out who actually did the deed doesn’t have the payoff it usually does because it doesn’t come out of left field or is all that ingenious a plot. She lives in the village of Carsely, but her detective agency Raisin Investigations and the police headquarters where Bill Wong is based are in the nearby town of Mircester. Even though Carsely and Mircester are fictional, they are based on true places; she does, however frequent Evesham, Moreton-in-Marsh, Stow-on-the-Wold, Chipping Campden and other nearby villages quite often. Agatha's first case came when she first moved to Carsely and heard about a quiche competition. She promptly bought a spinach quiche in London from a famous quiche shop and entered it as her own. She was outraged she did not win but later the judge, Reg Cummings-Browne, took another slice and died from cowbane poisoning. Frustrated, Agatha set out to find the poisoner and clear her own name. Kissing Christmas Goodbye

Toni Gilmour - hired detective at Agatha's agency, very beautiful, aged eighteen. Agatha is envious of her good looks. Since he was a boy, Sir David Attenborough has been smitten with the lure of hunting fossils. He joins biologist Professor Ben Garrod and a team of archaeologists and paleontologists as they carefully excavate a quarry where bones were found. ITV Hub Piers Morgan’s Life Stories: Kate Garraway (5 December) Not the worst Christmas present I ever got, but close. Considering it’s hailed as “sharp, witty, hugely intelligent [and] unfailingly entertaining” I expected a whole lot more. I also expected it to be Christmas-themed given the title, but the plot takes place in October. Only the last chapter features a Christmas dinner which I thought was a bit of a let-down. It’s Christmas in Finglas once again. Agnes has joined the church choir, but she’s under strict instructions from Father McBride that there’s to be no singing and certainly no dancing. A Very British Scandal (26 December) PR guru-tuned amateur sleuth Agatha Raisin is hoping to make it the best holiday yet with the reluctant help of trusty pal Roy.
