About this deal

The key is making your inner thoughts more real than the outer environment, because then the brain won’t know the difference between the two and will change to look as if the event has taken place.

If you understand anything at all about quantum mechanics, this book may induce nausea. The author understands vaguely that at the quantum level, probabilities become more of a thing, and also that light possesses a wave/particle duality. However, he takes those facts and proceeds to use them to draw utterly preposterous conclusions. For instance, the idea that it's your consciousness which causes quantum states to resolve is ridiculous. The concept that disease is a "low energy" state caused by your "atomic fans" spinning slowly is inconceivable. And the idea that your brain can do something to "navigate" the "probability field" to bring "closer" to your "desired outcome" is just absolutely implausible. Dr. Joe Dispenza is a master teacher who has the abilityto explain science at a very simple levelso that everyone understands.”And it’s not about being suspicious, it’s about a critical approach that it’s our duty to keep as readers. Good Stories But Less Statistics However, the 8th chapter goes into this silly idea we've heard from wuwu gurus (and never quantum physicists)that consciousness has a capacity to change the world outside our heads because of quantum physics. That consciousness connects to a quantum field, that all consciousness is one, somehow. That by visualizing and manifesting a particular future that we desire, we employ the "observer effect" to bring that future about. The chapter doesn't include any footnotes to clinical trials or evidence that consciousness has a quantum component to it. I'm not an atheist materialist, I believe in a spiritual dimension of the world but I just don't see evidence to credit quantum physics for this wide domain of spiritual phenomena and experience. Stay in the present moment for 10 to 15 mins (disconnect from your body, from past and future to go where all possibilities exist) Only time will tell if my personal physical pain is relieved because I happened to read this book. If it does I will certainly revised my comments regarding the book. Theta State: Where meditation begins. This is the point where the verbal/thinking mind transitions to the meditative/visual mind. We begin to move from the planning mind to a deeper state of awareness (often felt as drowsy), with stronger intuition, more capacity for wholeness and complicated problem solving. The Theta state is associated with visualization.

I suggest reading it first because it has a boatload of amazing examples from medical research and trials. It will pump you up. If you know physics, i suggest you skip the quantum mechanics stuff (Joe applies the science of the small to the big and metaphysical). Epigenetics is great. I received a complementary copy of this book from Hay House for review purposes. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience.Dispenza introduces the quantum model of health, which proposes that our thoughts and emotions can influence our health at the quantum level. This model suggests that by changing our thoughts and emotions, we can change our physical reality. For instance, a person who constantly thinks negative thoughts and feels stressed may develop health problems, while a person who maintains positive thoughts and emotions may enjoy better health. StoryShot #9: Overcoming Challenges Most scientists and researchers today are fascinated with a body state called coherence. All the research shows that the more you can experience coherence, the more your body heals, repairs, and changes for the better. If enough emotion accompanies our imagined new state of being, the brain fires the same circuitry as if the event happens in reality. In cases in which a patient receives a placebo rather than a proven efficacious drug, the patient will often get the same benefits from the internal pharmacy of the body, as if she/he had taken the pharmaceutical. Albeit all those books claims some sort of (woo-woo sounding) science behind them, You Are The Placebo aspires to more science since Dispenza prefaces his name with a “Dr.”, and it indeed offers some more real-life examples, some experiments, and factual stories.
