About this deal

The Goonies 360 become the 49th set to qualify for the Autumn Ideas review. You can see the full list of designs that have received 10,000 votes of support in the list below. LEGO building has become a huge part of my life. Aside from it being my favourite creative outlet, I also love how it’s become an activity I can share with my daughter. LEGO building has also been a way for me to meet a lot of amazing people in the LEGO community. For example, I’ve become great friends with my buddy Martin ( @MARTY-THE-LEG-OH-PARTY on Ideas) after we started chatting about our entries for a Build a Holiday Challenge on here a few years ago. Is there a LEGO designer (official LEGO designer or fan designer) who you are inspired by and look up to? Who and why? Even now, The Goonies is very much represented in modern popular culture. T-Shirts, Badges and other apparel are all available everywhere and as a franchise it is still very popular, especially to those who were young when it came out, as it is a movie very close to a lot of people's hearts.

What is yourfavouriteLEGO theme (current or past)? Why? And has any theme inspired your building style or preference in anyparticular way? In regards to Lego’s brand standards,The Goonies very much fits into the ethics that Lego believe in. It’s fun, exciting and offers many possibilities for expansion. It is also very reminiscent of other existing Lego licensed products such as Indiana Jones and Harry Potter, and just like everyone’s favourite wizard. Everything is centred on children as the main protagonists. It also has the added appeal of being a nostalgic setpiece that the older collectors of Lego will cherish. While many of the franchises featured are based on more mainstream franchises, this one is an unusual case, as it is based on a cult film. The Goonies Level will allow to players to play the full movie from Sloth's and Chunk's perspectives. My favourite LEGO theme was definitely Classic Space. Almost all of my sets as a kid were from the Space theme. Despite that, I’ve yet to build a space-themed MOC. However, I most like building MOCs with minifigs, on a minifig scale and I think I can thank my time building spaceports, space resorts, and space stations for my astronaut minifigs for that. Have you created any LEGO MOCs (my own creations) that you’re particularly proud of? What is it, why are you proud of it and do you have a photo of it?

Despite this, when the cops ask what was the scariest part of their adventure, Data says it was the octopus. My favourite technique, if you can call it that, is the 360° layout. I love the playability that it provides. It reminds me of the old Death Star set. What is it about the platform that attracts you? What tips would yougive to anyone who is thinking about uploading an idea?Do you have plansto submit any otherProduct Ideasin the future? If yes, can you give us a hint of what that might be? What is your favourite LEGO IdeasProduct Idea(besides your own of course)? Are there any Product Ideas you think have been overlooked? Game designers James McLaughlin and Arthur Parsons have said that the Goonies is their favorite movie. If you could talk to yourself before you started on this project, what would you tell them? What do you know now that you wish you knew then?
