About this deal

Velocity Red Meister was repurposed as the separate character Zoom-Zoom by the official Binaltech fiction. Another Takara reissue of the original 1984/1985 Jazz/Meister toy, following the success of the 2007 Movie. In addition to the retooled forearm joint also found on the Target exclusive "G1 color" Jazz, a running change variant of Final Battle Jazz adds another peg to the Crescent Cannon, thus allowing Jazz to use the weapon in all the different configurations on either arm. [3] Despite the claim that this is a "final battle" version of Jazz, his torso does not separate easily from his legs.

Figure features classic conversion between robot and racecar modes in 20 steps. Perfect for fans looking for a more advanced converting figure. Reach past the big screen and build the ultimate Transformers collection with Studio Series figures. Each figure in the Studio Series lineup is inspired by an iconic movie scene and designed with a cinematic blend of movie-inspired specs and details. Access the Transformers movie universe with this Transformers Studio Series 10 Deluxe Class Movie 1 Autobot Jazz figure. Push the windshield/cabin cover section down and swing the doors in, connecting them to the tabs on the forearms. The original version of this mold was redecoed into Shattered Glass Collection Decepticon Flamewar, and further retooled into Legacy: Evolution Cybertronian Erial. The overall silhouette of the car is similar to the animation model featuring a curved front end, sides that sink inward a bit before flaring out at the rear wheel wells.

The 1986 Transformers: The Movie introduced a large cast of new characters who would become maintstays in Transformers animation for years to come. It also carried over key characters from the original series including the Autobot, Jazz. Known for his distinctive style of talking and cool Porsche-based vehicle mode, Jazz was a very popular character among G1 fans. There have been a lot of Jazz figures over the years including:

Jazz is killed by three completely different Decepticons. He's killed by Megatron in the movie and in the Decepticons game for DS, while Brawl is the one that kills the Autobot in the Autobot campaign and a fake law enforcer kills him in the Decepticon campaign in the Transformers 2007 video game. As the Autobots prepared to leave Cybertron to go after Megatron and the AllSpark, Optimus Prime expressed concern on if the remaining civilians and Autobots on Cybertron could hold out while they were gone. Jazz informed him that their troops were laying low, but if the Decepticons tried any mischief, they would be in for a nasty surprise. The Reign of Starscream #1 INCH SCALE AUTOBOT JAZZ: Figure features vivid, movie-inspired deco, is highly articulated for posability and comes with a blaster accessory Swing each lower leg up over the thighs, then push the two lower legs together to form the rear of the vehicle. The front section features round headlights flanking the grille in the middle. This is different from the real life Porsche since that vehicle has the headlights set higher on the hood section. The Takara release of this toy sees the transparent blue plastic used for the windows and the visor switched for clear plastic on the windows and orange for the visor. Onboard the Ark, Jazz was the first to detect the presence of the Ghost 1, and the first to point out that, despite the Cybertronian elements in its design, it did not originate from Cybertron. He was in favor of blowing it up anyway, as he agreed with Ironhide that there was a chance it could be a Decepticon ruse. After Bumblebee was sent to follow the ship down to a nearby planet, Ironhide and Optimus joked that Jazz would have made a poor scout. While it has never been confirmed, the move to include 1986 characters in the Studio Series toyline after three years of continuous focus on the live-action films, was likely done to allow Hasbro and TakaraTomy to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the film, without stepping on the toes of the Beast Wars 25th anniversary, which was celebrated as a part of the War for Cybertron Trilogy. Evidence suggesting this is the inclusion of some of the film's main characters ( Cyclonus, Rodimus Prime and Galvatron) being sold in the concurrently-ran Kingdom toyline and the shared design aesthetics of the toys between both lines. Push the robot head down, then swing up the middle panel under the chest that will fill in the gap where the head was located. Hatchet, Hound In an undocumented feature, unpegging the hands from the shoulders in vehicle mode gives the figure working steering. was a milestone in Transformers history. The live action movie series was now ten years old meaning an entire generation of fans had grown up in an era where they had a live action Transformers theatrical film every other year to watch. In 2018 Hasbro launched the "Studio Series", a "Generations"-esque line of figured focused on the live action movies. The series boasted toys that were made in rough scale with each other using the CAD files from Paramount Pictures as the basis for the design. Part of the idea was also to fill in gaps in previous lines by making characters who had not appeared in the line previously.

The deco on this mode is mostly based on the animation model with a large blue and red racing stripe running from the front to the middle of the car. The number "14" is found on the doors, itself a reference to the number "4" that was used on the original Jazz figure. The sides of the wheels are painted silver and the headlights are light blue. The grille is painted silver. Overall the vehicle mode looks fantastic and I'm very happy with it. This item is currently scheduled for release, but is not yet available at mass retail. Cores, Deluxes, Megatron First revealed at New York Toy Fair 2018, Transformers Generations: Studio Series (aka Transformers: Studio Series), acts as a celebration under the Generations banner of over ten years of live-action movies, with characters from every movie represented. It has to date also coincided with Bumblebee and Rise of the Beasts, the sixth and seventh films in the live-action film series. Jazz ended up on a planet that he dubbed "the Information Highway"—a constantly-morphing world with "the accumulated knowledge of countless alien cultures, condensed into some kind of sensory precipitation". He loved this world and the constant new experiences so much that he deliberately ignored Ratchet's homing beacon, wanting to stay here forever. However, the planet was alive and predatory, and ended up absorbing him into it - he fired off a warning buoy to stop others arriving, and only this led to Ratchet and Ironhide finding where he was and rescuing him. Lost In Space 4: Jazz Perhaps unsurprisingly, Jazz was left badly damaged as a result of those confrontations and was rebuilt by Ratchet using the power of the AllSpark. AllSpark-Enhanced Autobot Jazz During what turned out to be a long recovery process, Jazz had time to think about getting himself a new paint job. Transformers Deluxe Autobot Jazz (G1 Redeco)

The included Jazz Kreon is based directly on his Generation 1 self, with his characteristic coloration and deco, and "door wings." He also comes with a generic light gray gun used by some of the other Kreons that can resemble Jazz's photon rifle if you squint hard enough. The "Race Driver" Kreon wears a red and light gray racing suit and helmet, and also has a light gray baseball cap so he doesn't have to wear his helmet all the time. How thoughtful! Though documentation is (currently) sparse, it seems most likely that this was a concept for 1995 product, as multiple other similar pieces of art have surfaced for similar concepts, and the assortment numbers on those indicate mid-1995 toys. However, it's also likely that these toys were killed very early in the development of 1995 product, as Hasbro was trying to shift the line away from looking too much like the old line by that point. It could theoretically have been intended as a new character, as some other discovered Generation 2 concepts were, but the art for a probable-wavemate Mirage with a similar garish deco is still labeled as "Mirage", so... most likely Jazz again. Unlike some of the concepts in this art batch, no physical prototype of this Jazz has ever surfaced. Later in the Nevada Desert, Optimus Prime and the other Autobots arrived with Jazz's remains. The Autobots escorted the Decepticons' carcasses while the U.S Navy planned on giving a proper burial ceremony for Jazz. Alliance #2 Weeks later, the Autobots and their soldier friends are on a US Navy aircraft carrier for Jazz's burial at sea. A crane hoisted the trailer containing Jazz's body and dropped it into the ocean. Optimus Prime thanked Lennox for his participation in Jazz's funeral. Alliance #3Shortly after the battle in Mission City, Captain Lennox, Sergeant Epps, and the other soldiers helped Ironhide find suitable transportation for Jazz's remains. As Ironhide somberly placed Jazz's body into the trailer, the soldiers lowered their heads in honor of the Autobot who sacrificed his life to save theirs. Alliance #1 But more than just looking legit, they're incredible well-designed and surprisingly intricate. The transformations involve dozens of steps, and when you get into the bigger bots, you’ll realize just how intuitive and ingenious the figures are. Classic characters like Optimus Prime, Megatron, Bumblebee, Ratchet, Jazz, and Soundwave are all reimagined in stunning detail.
