There's also a surprise appearance in the book - okay it's kind of expected but it was still great! Would I read future books in the series about a group of LGBTQ mercenaries living in LA? Maybe if Eden steps up her game like I know she can.

Harley is arguably the most famous of his band, Eleven, that broke up a year and a half before the start of this, and with that fame can come some stalkers. But then perhaps all pop stars are? They’re fascinating individuals, compelling and gifted, not short of self-confidence and, yes, occasionally a little odd, too. Artists may not always be the best people to operate the heavy machinery of adulthood, but they remain tenacious, driven and inspirational. They dared to dream, and then went out and made that dream come true.

I’ve been avoiding the dreaded B word for as long as I can, but after a close call with a rambunctious fan, I can’t do it anymore. Still, this wasn’t close to being as funny and fun and generally as good as the Fake Boyfriend series. Maybe because I dig sports romance more in general? Maybe it was because the characters didn’t feel quite so well-developed and as relatable? Maybe because I wasn’t that emotionally involved? Probably all of the above. When an obsessed fan gets a bit too close (really really close) to Harley, it is time to agree with his manager and hire a personal bodyguard. It had that nice role reversal of the muscled-up bodyguard craving to bottom for a smaller guy. But I found myself skimming these scenes because there were a lot of them and the guys vomited feelings all over the place, repeatedly.

They had some great banter and chemistry going on and they were both very likable.And I do really adore this author’s writing style. I already love so many of her books, and this series does not appear to be any different. After reading this, I can already tell I will probably read all of the other books in the 'Famous' series straight after, and I'm genuinely excited about it. This being a romance, of course the guys secretly had the hots for one another and, of course, eventually acted on those emotions, but neither of them expected it to turn into something more. If the danger to Harley (the whole reason for getting Brix as a bodyguard) had been a bigger part of the book, it would have been an easy 5 stars for me.
