About this deal

In the event of Auto Power OFF, to make the tool usable again, detach and reattach the battery. If the tool still doesn't operate, the battery is likely empty and will need re-charging. This is a great nailer. While it’s on the heavy side, it’s one of the fastest cordless nailers we have tested. Time and time again it was able to keep up with what we asked of this nailer. I have to say this is my favorite framing nailer on the market. Yes, it’s heavy compared to other nailers, but I love not having the cord and not losing speed.

Angled nailers have their magazines sit at a sight angle leaning inwards to the trigger. This is so someone can get nails fixed into woodwork and such on corners or very tight angles. To avoid the "memory effect" you should perform a "full recharge cycle", Run the device under the battery's power until it shuts down or until you get a low battery warning. Then recharge the battery as instructed in the user's manual.

On another job, I hung shiplap on a massive set of bunk beds that I’d built. Again, this was an all-day job that I completed using only one battery. Ni-Cad batteries cannot be fully discharged (voltage below 1 V per cell). This damages the battery.

UK Top Tool Battery Store> Power Tool Batteries> HITACHI Cordless Tool Battery> HITACHI NR90 Nail Gun Battery While the nailer is heavy, it would fire shot after shot without having to wait for the tool to ramp up. This NR90 Nail Gun cordless drill battery replacement is guaranteed to meet or exceed original specifications. If you own the Hitachi battery platform, this is a no-brainer. If you don’t have the Hitachi line of tools, but are looking to go cordless with a framing nailer, this is one you should consider looking into.I don’t have a whole lot of negative things to say about the Hitachi Cordless Brad Nailer. But I did notice that when I’m shooting 2″ brads into hardwood, the gun struggles if I don’t put enough pressure on it. However, if I hold the gun with both hands, it will set nails just fine.

When we tested the Hitachi, we immediately noticed two things: the nailer is extremely fast - even compared to the Dewalt DCN692 - but can feel a little cumbersome after an extended period of time. However, when it comes to paper tape nailers, the Hitachi NR1890DC can definitely hold its own against the Paslode CF325XP (905600), and the Dewalt DCN692M1. Hitachi's instant advantage over Paslode, the NR1890DC requires no compressed gas fuel for operation - meaning the end user can operate independently of costly fuel cells; and without the need for compressed gas, there's no delay in firing due to ramp up. A huge benefit for productivity and efficiency. On one job, I based about 300 feet of ranch style radiata pine. Not only did the nailer avoid jamming up, but all my nails set flush. I completed this ten-hour job on one charge. For the sake of fairness, we can't really compare the NR1890DR to Paslode or Dewalt, since neither brand offers a cordless plastic strip framing nailer currently. This battery is for use only with the Lithium-Ion version of the NR90. Use with other tools may cause the tool not to operate correctly
