About this deal

This book is absolutely a must read for fans. It is colossal – and tells so much more than Anastasia’s story. A lot takes place here between the proposal and the wedding, which occurs one quarter of the way through the book. There are new scenes between Christian and his father, as readers finally get a look at their falling out before the wedding. Several scenes include Christian’s brother Elliot, and it is nice to see the two of them one on one. This book shows Anastasia making good on her promise to go to church. Elliot throws Christian a bachelor party to remember. This story pulls in more characters, and here we get to know how Christian feels about them all. From the changing relationship between him and his employees to Jose Rodriguez and Ethan Kavanagh. This book really adds to Christian and Anastasia’s story. This is a very lengthy book and although there isn't anything I would have edited out, I did skim a bit at times just to get to the parts I have been waiting for, for so long now. James did a great job in relaying Christian's thoughts, hopes, dreams, and even some nightmares, and I feel as if this is the true love letter to her fans who will never get enough of this wonderfully frustrating yet wildly irresistible man. FREEDwill be published simultaneously by the Bloom Books imprint of Sourcebooks and Penguin Random House UK (UK and Commonwealth Rights, excluding Canada).Audiobooks, in all formats, will be distributed via Penguin Random House Audio. Mirroring, of course, the original Fifty Shades Freed, this newly-married version of CG has a real sweetness about him. His disbelief that a woman like Ana could not only love him but decide to become his wife continues to surprise him at every turn. Getting pivotal scenes in his POV really gave this entire storyline the bits of extra I was always curious about and James did not disappoint. Christian's continued worry about the safety of Ana and always wanting to be the master of his universe can be trying but she really does get him, loving him fiercely and all of his fifty shades. Taylor-Johnson didn't return to the franchise, at least in part due to her problems working with James—who exercised as much creative control as she could, even bringing in her husband, Niall Leonard, to write the script for the sequels, Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed.

She also told The Hollywood Reporter in 2015 that James "would be the first to say as well that it was not easy. It was not easy. But we got there. I think both of us felt it was an incredibly painful process." James said in an appearance on MSNBC that "people are going to butt heads, and that is exactly what happened." But in the end, it's Ana who will always be front and center in his life, and all he does to not only protect her but love her that is at the center of this book and story. Their 'battles' for power are a delight to watch and this newly-wedded version of Christian clearly has found his soulmate and determined sparring partner who won't let him get away with anything. And he's finally ok with that. Not to mention his match in the bedroom as well keeping those fires burning hot as they simply cannot get enough of each other. Yeah, I enjoyed those scenes again very much. In FREED, Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele tie the knot––but marriage brings its own challenges. Though their passion burns hotter and deeper than ever, Ana's defiant spirit continues to stir Christian's darkest fears and tests his need for control. As old rivalries and resentments endanger them both, one misjudgment threatens to tear them apart. You are cordially invited to the wedding of the decade, when Christian Grey will make Anastasia Steele his wife. But is he really husband material? His dad is unsure, his brother wants to organize one helluva bachelor party, and his fiancée won’t vow to obey… Jolie went with the adaptation of Unbroken—the beyond-inspiring story of Olympic athlete turned World War II pilot Louis Zamperini, who crashed, survived 47 days floating in a life raft and then survived a POW camp—for her follow-up project instead. And marriage brings its own challenges. Now in hardcover, with a silk ribbon marker and printed endpapers, the third volume of the New York Times #1 bestselling series.

I didn't want [Dakota or Jamie] to have to come re-shoot those kinds of scenes," the director told Vanity Fair. We would have proper on-set barneys," Taylor-Johnson recalled to Porter magazine in 2015. "I'm not confrontational, but it was about finding a way between the two of us, satisfying her vision of what she'd written as well as my need to visualize this person on screen." Just when it seems that their strength together will eclipse any obstacle, misfortune, malice, and fate conspire to make Ana's deepest fears turn to reality. She was a producer on each of the three Fifty Shades movies, which made more than a billion dollars at the box office. The third installment, Fifty Shades Freed, won the People’s Choice Award for Drama in 2018. Gus Van Sant, who like Bret Easton Ellis pictured a more graphic, possibly NC-17 film, and Danish director Susanne Bier were the last two names on a shortlist that James and Focus Features had whittled down—but producer Michael De Luca had been a producer on a movie Sam Taylor-Johnson was going to do before it fell apart, and suggested she take a meeting about Fifty Shades.

There came word in June 2012 that Angelina Jolie had—if there was any truth to the rumor at all— perhaps had an informal discussion about directing the movie, having made her feature directorial debut in 2011 with Land of Milk and Honey.

Days later, he exited the project, officially due to a scheduling conflict but reportedly due to creative differences with the film's creative team, including Sam Taylor-Johnson, as well as second thoughts about whether it was the right career move for him. Can Christian overcome the nightmares of his childhood and the torments of his youth, and save himself? And once he’s discovered the truth of his origins, can he find forgiveness and accept Ana’s unconditional love? For the naysayers, just keep in mind while reading that this is a fantasy. There are certainly many happily married real-life couples that meet and marry in record-breaking time, and there are likewise real-life billionaires who are entitled to their own happy stories. There are also people that are healed by the love of someone special in their life. But this doesn’t pretend to be more than a fantasy – a love story. And marriage brings its own challenges.
