About this deal

The XE200 went through our week-long testing and real-world usage with no issues. So it proved to be reliable. Still, it has most standard settings such as port forwarding, IP reservation, Dynamic DNS, and VPN (server and client), etc.

The Deco XE200 has no USB port — which is not a surprise and can be a good thing in terms of having fewer cables connecting to the hardware. Folks looking to use their router as a mini NAS server will be disappointed. Gig+, or Gig Plus, conveys a speed grade faster than 1Gbps but slower than 2Gbps. So, it’s 1.5Gbps, give or take, and it’s not fast enough to be qualified as Multi-Gig or multi-Gigabit. You can not use the hardware just with this interface — the Deco mobile app is necessary. By the way, not the names of the Main Deco (Office) and the satellite (hallway.) You must use the Deco mobile app for the setup process. After that, there’s an option to access a few settings of the Deco XE200 via its local web user interface. The Deco XE200 is the latest in the Deco mesh family, and similar to the Asus ET8, it’s a Tri-band Wi-Fi 6E mesh system. Clients need to support 802.11k/v/r and may require additional set up. Performance may vary depending on the client device.

Of course, how the Deco XE200 pans out is to be determined — right now, we still don’t know if it will hit the shelves this year. And that brings us to the hardware’s 10Gbps network port. Lone 10Gbps: No actual Multi-Gig experience General Troubleshooting For DDNS on a TP-Link Wi-Fi Router, LTE Gateway Router, or Deco Router 05-31-2023 26593Why did I receive a new device connection alert when a known device joined the network? 06-25-2023 54993 On the inside, though, it shares many similarities with the AXE200, sporting a quad-core 2.0GHz CPU. It, too, has a 10Gbps LAN/WAN port plus a 10Gbps RJ45/SFP+ LAN port. Gig+ generally applies to the sustained speeds of Wi-Fi 6 or 6E — via a 2×2 at 160MHz connection which has the 2400Mbps theoretical ceiling speed — or Internet speed and is not used to describe wired network connections.

Použití WiFi 6 a dalších funkcí včetně OFDMA, MU-MIMO, 1024-QAM, HE160 a BSS Color vyžaduje, aby klienti také podporovali odpovídající funkce. Šířka pásma 160 MHz nemusí být v pásmu 5 GHz v některých regionech/zemích dostupná kvůli regulačním omezením. Any printers, NAS box etc will be in the same room as the switching unit (direct connection), wifi is for laptops, TVs, mobile devices, speakers, but also probably occasional gaming etc Here’s the underside of the TP-Link Deco, where you’ll find its default Wi-Fi network used for the setup process.

In both cases I used my usual test laptop, with an Intel AX210 Wi-Fi 6E network card (supporting 2×2 MIMO) to copy files to and from an Asustor Drivestor 4 Pro NAS appliance, which was connected to the XE200 via 2.5GbE. Here are the speeds I saw in various parts of my home over the 5GHz network, along with results from some other mesh systems: The XE200 looks great — each router is a piece of home decor! — taking the shape of a cylindrical box that tapers toward the base. The hardware seems more like a flower vase than a piece of tech. HomeShield zahrnuje bezplatný základní plán. Pro plán platí poplatky. Pro více informací navštivte tp-link.com/homeshield. Like many modern routers, the TP-Link Deco XE200 can be managed through the TP-Link Deco app, and I generally like the app. The app lets you see and manage the devices connected to your network, set up some smart home automations, and more. In short, even when hosting a super-fast brand or a local server, the 10Gbps port doesn’t have any way to show its performance on the hardware’s output front. So, this port is always overkill.
