As long as there is a ‘downwards’ principle adhered to for designing each course, then the hamsters will provide lots of fun as you watch them ‘scurrying’ along the track and carrying out the stunts provided. The pieces don’t fit together easily, not sturdy once built and the ‘hedgehog marbles’ spend more time stuck than moving. Something I also like about this set, is that it can also be used (and is compatible with) other Happy Hamster kits. However when it came, the big main piece, comes with an attachment at the bottom, and it doesn’t really fit, as soon as you put it on it pops off, also some of the pieces don’t line up very well so you have to intervene with the run. There's been a lot of issues with the fittings not fitting properly or popping out as soon as a hamster passes through.
The track is very fiddly to construct and certainly hard to keep together when little hands are busy playing and pulling on the sections. The tracks face the wrong direction so the hamsters are constantly having to be moved manually, tried to bend one slightly so it went the right direction and it snapped.
