About this deal

Ideally, drill the base out with new holes with countersinks for the M6 set screws, there is enough meat to do it.

Can you operate the micro off-set adjust, can you fit a stop, does the dust extraction interfere with anything? I think the newer DeWalt circular saws (not plunge saw) like the one HDC83 linked to have a groove mounded into the base of the saw also allowing it to run on a track. As I already had a circular saw which has the ability to run on a track I was hoping to be able to do this. You may well be fine on all these fronts, but an efficient guide rail is so useful it's worth ensuring it really will all work properly. If you’d like to file an allegation of infringement, you’ll need to follow the process described in our Copyright and Intellectual Property Policy. In addition, we offer a full range of power tool accessories, so you can find everything you need in one place. Aber der Verkäufer ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und Versand war schnell in Bezug auf die fack, dass der Versand von ausland ist. And the base, this time both holes need enlarging, the set screw shown is only an M5, not an M6 that both router bases take. The other thing is that whilst the Scheppach is at the lower end of the plunge saw market it gets really good reviews especially from the contributors on here and won't have any awkwardness of a saw running on an adaptor. If your item is being delivered in the UK or Ireland, it will be delivered by UK Mail/DHL, Hermes or Royal Mail, with the exception of pallet items.

Also this only utilises two of the three holes in the dewalt base, probably good enough for a one off but not ideal, drilling new holes is the way to go.This is what I did but using a different design I made 2 different lengths, they did work but the proper track is so much better being thinner so it allows a deeper cut, the clamps don't get in the way and up to now I have hardly needed to use the clamps as the tracks are so grippy underneath. I have used a straight edge in the past but I have a project coming up where I'll need to cut down quite a few sheets of material and a guide rail would make this much easier. The following are trademarks for one or more DEWALT power tools, accessories, anchors and concrete adhesives: The yellow and black color scheme; the “D”-shaped air intake grill; the array of pyramids on the handgrip; the kit box configuration; and the array of lozenge-shaped humps on the surface of the tool. Depending which 18v Makita saw you have, there maybe an guide rail adaptor for it,so it can be used in the Makita track. Guide rails are commonly available in a variety of lengths, but they are also designed to be connected together so large rails can be constructed out of several smaller ones when necessary. Unless you are working away from main electric, running a tracksaw without an extractor is pretty messy and when you connect an extractor you lose the benefits of using batteries. It sounds like it should fit the dewalt and my smaller trend routers and definitely fits the Bosch and Mafell guide rails. It’s easy to use – place circular saw on this adapter, clamp it and it is ready to work with guide rail! The length can be extended by purchasing multiple rails and joining them together using the DeWalt DE6292-XJ Plunge Saw Guide Rail Connector Joining Bar. I am in the market for a track saw but then I came across adapters in which you sit your circular saw inside of and run it against the guide rail, as you would a track saw. Our accessories are designed and manufactured in EU using FDM technology with durable synthetic material.

Part of the functionality (as well as added safety) with rail systems is actually having a saw which plunges - a feature which allows you to make trapped cuts like hob cut-outs in worktops as well as being able to make backwards scoring cuts on MFC, etc. You will not have to pay attention to whether the saw blade does not come out of the cut line any more. The router is not dead centre on the base and the router is at the wrong angel for comfortable use but if you were pushed to do it as a temporary measure it is feasible. It came with some plastic attachments that allow it to fix to a guide rail which DeWalt no longer make. The base looks more robust on the Dewalt to me as the Makita looks to be quite thin sheet metal, vs the Dewalts cast base. Once attached the base slides nicely on the rail, the depth adjuster work on one side and the clamp to stop it moving works on the other and if you move the depth adjuster control while its clamped it does twist a little bit so not perfect. The anti-friction base and replaceable non-slip strip on underside of rail ensure solid performance. It is compatible with most saws that have base plate made of pressed metal and many saws that have aluminium cast base.
