Whites are brilliantly crisp from the lily-white costumes to the blistering lights of the soundstages. But, the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray features a gorgeous Dolby Vision transfer and an incredible Atmos audio track.

The Dolby Atmos track rocks from start to finish, with clean and clear dialogue coming through despite the roaring score that will showcase your speaker system depending on how loud you’ve got them set. The Costumes of Babylon – Here’s a quick, three-minute featurette that touches on the costume pieces found in the film. The music is infectious with lively beats and tunes to accentuate the chaos but the jazzy brass and drums kick the Atmos mix’s LFE factor into high gear for some exciting rumble in the subs. It’s the tale of Hollywood moving from silent films in the 1920s to those with sound into the 30s, and it does earn the often used “love letter to Hollywood” tag given to films with this sort of industry, inside focus. While the film may appeal or repulse some people, the impressive Dolby Vision transfer and impactful Atmos track make for an incredible 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray release. Oui, ce film est peut être trop long, mais c’est avant tout un belle déclaration d’amour à l’âge d’or du muet, de la période décadente des années 30, et de son déclin, à l’instar de “il était une fois à Hollywood”de Tarantino, autre excellent film sur le changement d’atmosphère dans le cinéma de la fin des années 60 et la fin de l’utopie peace and love des hippies avec le meurtre de Sharon Tate et celui d’Altamont. I think marketing might of been a bit poor and critics just not accepting it’s a crazy drug filled chaotic orgy like movie. Dolby Vision HDR enjoys a hell of a workout between the exciting range of primaries, shadows, and brilliant lighting effects and scenery.
