I am excited that there are five Braxton brothers because that means there should be four more books in the series! Since she had once had a goal of publishing a novel when she was in her teenage years, she decided to finally pursue it. With their past hurt lingering on their minds, both are left to decide if love is worth fighting for or if being together just isn’t in the cards for them. Then there is the alternating POV that switches between Shelby (MC), Miles (single dad) and Abigail (supposedly new bff of MC) almost every chapter. The entire story takes place over the course of about a week and is largely predicated on the fmc, Beth, running away.And if you're trying to portray Miles as an actual caring single father, the way his relationship with his daughter is written seems like an afterthought.
