Kingdom of the Gods is a wonderful story that features three lead characters with personalities that are immediately recognizable yet don’t fit neatly into tropes.

Not every story should have a neat conclusion, but if it's a story of this sort of mess, it's likely that you'll have to get more catharsis. On the road, Lee Chang, Mu-yeong, Yeong-shin, and Seo-bi are unexpectedly met by Cho Beom-pal, who escaped from the cargo ship, and they travel to Sangju together.

Love Alarm was the first Korean series confirmed for pick-up by Netflix, but Kingdom was premiered first as Love Alarm was released later on August 22, 2019.

The detail in how Juu ends his foes, how Han slices his knife, the way bodies are cut up…it’s pretty gruesome. Seeing the original conception behind the hit Netflix tv series show does give us an insight of the Living Zombie Curse. However, the blood pact goes awry, and when Sieh next wakes up, eight years have already passed since the failed blood pact, and he is slowly becoming mortal. However, the names of the three princes are different, and the structure of Ji Yul Heon is different, so it seems that there is no connection with the drama. Idealistic young female doctor, young brave prince who wants to be a good ruler, and a bandit who used to be a general in the army and was disillusioned when the king fled the battlefield and left his company for dead.

Rafael Motamayor from GameSpot recommended the second season in his review by highlighting that, "Not to be outdone by Game of Thrones, Kingdom also serves as an intriguing courtroom thriller", further praising the narrative, by adding that it "doubles down on the viral aspect of the zombie outbreak, exploring its natural origin, how it spreads, and most frighteningly, how it evolves. The episode acts as a sidequel to the second season of Kingdom and explores the backstory of Ashin, the mysterious character Lee Chang's group encountered on their journey north to discover the origins of the infected. Yes, I came into this manga trying to compare it to the Netflix series (which, I really enjoyed), but I also knew it was its own story to tell.

Action sequences play out over several pages at times and it mixes the horror with gore and the pacing of something like the fights in the anime adaptation of Bleach absolutely perfectly.
