Why is it so in my fashion to be the one crying the loudest about the all lucky arc readers out there who had got their hands on this book first and also to eventually wind up being the last person to actually read the book? i was giddy during their cute moments, which they had more than i thought they would but i adored it. I'm really sad right now because normally Rina's books awaken the comedian from the depths of my soul and I'm having a lot of fun clowning her shit, but today I just want to rant like a middle-aged woman whose coffee wasn't served hot enough. Listen, I love me a grumpy man, but I also love me a man that is a grump to everyone yet melts for his woman, and we see that with Creighton.

I had high expectations for God of Pain, and I'm not trying to be a bitch, but Rina pretty please stop writing. Product arrived matching the specifications I requested but also matched the photographs and item description. Watching Creigh go from living inside a shell to embracing so much around him that even people who have known him all his life were utterly shocked by his actions.

I love to see his relationship with Eli, and seeing exactly how they interact was the cherry of this cake.

His lips twitch and that’s the nearest thing to a smile he offers, so I snatch it, lock in the corner of my heart with his name all over it, and press my body even closer. I won’t go any further into the story, but to say that Rina Kent is a master at getting you interested in dark and mysterious characters from the first words of her books.

Listen any offspring of Aiden King AKA one of my book boyfriends AKA another fictional man I will defend is amazing in my eyes!Adrian AGAIN shows up (never stop showing up) and is determined to hurt/kill Creigh for kidnapping his daughter and harming her. We even get car scenes, an in-the-air scene (I love it when a man is strong enough to be able to do this), and my favorite: sit down so I can eat dessert 😅. how are people (*cough cough* devil girl) out here rating books 1 stars when they aren’t even out yet? He was adopted by King Aiden 🥰 and Elsa when he was 3, yet he still has emotional scars from those traumatic years he was with his birth parents.
