About this deal

If you have small hands and use a fingertip grip, check out the Logitech G PRO HERO, as it has a more compact body. The Logitech G403 Prodigy Wireless is better than the Logitech G403 HERO, but mostly due to its wireless capability, as it's essentially a wireless version of the G403 HERO.

The company has fine-tuned its tooling to allow for manufacturing of ultra-thin plastic shells, making for a lighter weight mouse chassis that can seemingly still withstand the usual wear-and-tear imposed on a mouse. Credit subject to status, UK residents only, British Telecommunications Public Limited Company acts as a broker and offers finance from PayPal Credit. It has a comfortable shape suitable for most hand sizes, though smaller hands might have trouble reaching the scroll wheel with a fingertip grip. Also, it has a wider CPI range, a more precisely adjustable CPI, a lower lift-off distance, and lower latency. Finance is provided by PayPal Credit (a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH).

The G403 wireless obviously has some different elements governing its input, but has lifted the same wireless technology that the G900 uses -- which we regard highly. The G Pro is a little more awkward, depending on hand size, as the mouse is smaller and more comparable to the G303. In his experience -- and I am inclined to agree -- Mike believes that the thumb buttons (M4/M5) on the G403 should be pushed forward a little bit on the body, as the back-most thumb button is a little difficult to reach at times.

That said, it has a better sensor with a wider CPI range, almost no CPI variation, and a lower lift-off distance. Zowie's FK1 remains one of the best mice among FPS players, but takes a much simpler approach to just about everything. The G Pro weighs 83 grams without the cable, making it a few grams lighter than the unweighted G403. On the other hand, the G502 has more buttons and programmable inputs, and the scroll wheel has a free-scrolling mode and L/R tilt inputs. This mouse is a little bulky and has a long back, so it isn't recommended for those with small or medium-size hands and using a fingertip grip, as some of the buttons and scroll wheel can be difficult to reach. However, its mediocre scroll wheel makes it less ideal for office use, and some MMO players may be disappointed by the number of buttons available. The matte finish and grippy thumb texture make for an easy fit in the hand, with a comfortable surface to use all day. The original non-HERO version is a wired mouse and has a CPI range of 200 - 12000, though we haven't tested it. Also, unlike the BenQ, the Logitech's logo and scroll wheel have RGB zones, and it comes with outstanding software to customize the buttons and sensor settings. We prefer the scroll wheel on the G403 to Zowie's, but you may prefer the shape of the Zowie mice -- that's more subjective.
