About this deal

The British intelligence service is continually active in the novel as Sir Alan contemplates assassinating Martinez and is heavily involved in thwarting the Argentinian kingpin who likes to pose as an English gentleman. By the standards of what goes as the baddies in books of our time, the villains of the novel - while without a shade of grey - are almost as mild as those in Jane Austin novels or equivalent of street thugs in their power and influence.

The sudden change in temperature made her shiver, and then her eyes settled on a trolley standing in the middle of the room. As Marsden drove through unfamiliar towns, Chippenham, Newbury, Slough, Don Pedro Martinez interrupted Emma’s thoughts more than once. Why had her son been traveling to Cambridge by car, when she’d bought him a train ticket only a couple of days before? I do look forward to the conclusion of this series and only regret that I'll have to wait until 2015 to accomplish that. There will be seven books in the Clifton Chronicles instead of the initial five as was earlier intended. He has written 27 novels, 7 sets of short stories, 3 prison diaries, 3 plays (all of which have been performed in London's West End) and a gospel. A New York Times Bestselling AuthorBe Careful What You Wish For opens with Harry and Emma Clifton rushing to the hospital to learn the fate of their son, who has been involved in a fatal car accident. Be Careful What You Wish For showcases the master storyteller's talent as never before - when the Clifton and Barrington families march forward into the sixties, in this epic tale of love, revenge, ambition and betrayal.

A winding and involved story, Be Careful What You Wish For profiles a family’s effort to stick together to prevent their dynasty’s takeover by a vengeful master manipulator. The series chronicles the life and times of Harry Clifton, his wife, Emma Barrington, and Emma's brother and Harry's best friend, Giles Barrington.

This book could do with a lot of editing - he never uses one word when he can use five, and there is a lot of irritating waffle and unnecessary bits and pieces, but the story is so compelling that it almost makes up for this. The novel opens hoping to resolve the major cliffhanger after Sebastian is in a major car accident and someone has died. I'm so disappointed with this book that it's heartbreaking for me, especially since Jeffrey Archer is one of my favourite authors.

I have learned through Jeffrey Archer that with greatness comes a whole sort of problems and the only way to make it through is by thinking two steps ahead of the enemy. He has been married to Dame Mary Archer, Chair of the Science Museum Group, for 55 year, and they have two sons, two granddaughters and three grandsons.Cover design uncredited with images courtesy of Roger-Violett/Rex Features and PA Archive/Press Association Images. Complete with another stunning Archer cliffhanger, the novel ends just as the reader is hopeless hooked.

Clifton Chronicles in the fourth episode first drifts then decays and by the end simply disintegrates into a purposeless record of a barely interesting family. You will be astonished and at the same time equally keen to know about the turn of events that has taken place in the end. In a last-ditch revenge effort, he tries to get the IRA to bomb the MV Buckingham on its way to New York. Aside from Hardcastle, there are a number of impactful characters like Robert Bingham, the fish paste king; Clive Bingham his son who wants to marry Jessica; Cabinet Secretary Alan Redmayne; Samantha Sullivan who has fallen in love with Sebastian; Susie Lampton, Alex Fisher’s wife who is somewhat of a double crosser; Karl Otto Lunsdorf, a former member of the Nazi SS and Martinez’s righthand man, among others.Emma had once read that in times of personal tragedy, all anyone wanted to do was turn the clock back. I did enjoy getting to uncover some of the answers to questions I had about the previous books and finding the threads that tied the other books together. Emma reaches the morgue to see the sole victim’s body, finding that it belongs to Bruno, Sebastian’s friend. Having been frustrated at having to wait until 2015 to see how this ends I am beginning to see there point. However, I read other authors for their words, and the way they put words together to make extraordinary and beautiful sentences.
