About this deal

Man, if Artisan would create a machine washable mousepad like the puretrak that would be great but then again I don't the foam backing they use could survive in a washing machine.

feels rougher when gliding my hand over the surface, but I feel almost no difference ingame with my G303. If you have a non black mouse pad you can see the PTFE stains where you move your mouse often, similar to tire marks on a racetrack. I wasn't 100% sure that it wasn't just the tiny pores in the rubber sticking to the desk because it only happens when I mouse over the pad with some pressure, so I got in nice and close and yes it's static alright. You have to take the mouse pad off the table after you swipe a lot to notice what I am talking about.

At MaxGaming we are constantly in pursuit of the latest in gaming and scouring the market to be able to offer you the absolute best. Otsu is soft to the touch, though not as soft as one thinks of a soft pad in 'feel' you get from it. I arm aim and i'm kinda fast with it even tho my sens is considered slow its already "fast" for me with aqua control +.

As for the dust thing, I don't remember exactly what the old problem was -- dust would get trapped in the fabric weave, right? It seems to stick really firmly to the desk and needs to be peeled off after a longer play session, if that's what you mean. but my experience with the old Hayate is that it's not durable and things (especially dust and clothes fiber) stick to it too easily and even cake in. Starting with bottom of pad upon turning it over its made of high quality, dense soft rubber that's evenly cut and is consistent across the entire foundation.

I swiped around like I was trying to start a fire for about a minute and I didn't feel anything static-y afterwards. From the point of laying it down, feeling the texture, quality of rubber base, sensor response and over all using it. The Artisan Hien comes direct from Artisan based in Tokyo Japan in a thick padded, brown manila envelope, with big bold red words that say "please do not bend or fold". I used to clean my Zero by throwing it in bathtub, cleaning it with mid-hardness brush, soap and warm water.I never owned an old Hayate but it's a *very* smooth glide horizontally, similar or less friction than the less textured hardpads I own (like Razer Destructor 2 or fUnc f. Hien really has a nice balance and I see myself enjoying the Mid Hien even more, but will wait for their XL sizes. When first laid down upon desk it immediately laid flat again which I see is now reminiscent of Artisan pads. Just wanted to throw in something I experienced and was surprised about: My Zero Mid is faster and it's noticeably more difficult to stop on than my Hien Soft. Compared to HAYATE, it strengthened the sense of concavity and convexity slightly and raised the stopping property more than the HAYATE.

But seeing as there's still no announcement or further hint, it could very well get released later than earlier. Sensor tracking on Otsu is as superb and no harsh feeling when fast swiping, even when most of arm lays on top of pad. I wonder if they can fix that by making the pattern have more spacing or increase the size of the shape on the backing. Apparently the dragon thing is 'a sign for test products' or something, all Artisan's communication is super engrish as usual.
