About this deal

A compelling and moving story, expertly told, that will draw you in and keep you in its grip until the last page.

Elizabeth’s loneliness is ever present though never overplayed, and her difficult ties with her extended family oscillate between frustration, anger, regret and resignation. Everything that happens to Elizabeth deepens her understanding of motherhood even though her life is turned upside down. years earlier, a young woman stumbles from a remote stone house, the night quiet but for the tireless wind that circles her as she hurries further into the darkness away from the cliffs and the sea. The house is in dilapidated state and more worryingly, infested with rats which scuppers Elizabeth's plan for residing there for the short duration of her stay.Overall however I was just a little bemused by the abrupt conclusion and the takeaway felt a little too simplistic. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.

Graham was soon approached by the BBC to front his own self-titled chat show The Graham Norton Show in 2007. As she clears out her mother’s personal effects, she discovers a bundle of letters that appear to be from the father she has never known. She was a chess piece to move around while he focused on what he wanted the story to be about, Patricia. i loved this book it had me in from the first page it moved at a quick pace a heartbreaking story that will play with your emotions as it did mine. Whilst I expected Elizabeth’s discovery of her origins to be revelatory and of momentous importance to her the fairly muted, and abrupt ending, proved a bit of a damp squib.Of course, she is not there for guidance so she turns to her divorced husband to step in and be a father, something he has done little of before this.
