Millhone is a very believable character, a "what you see is what you get" kind of girl, lives simply and is far from perfect. I enjoyed Kinsey and the storyline was entertaining, especially when the action picked up throughout the second half of the book and I read it in one sitting. I. While going through a "bitter divorce and custody battle that lasted six long years", Grafton imagined ways to kill or maim her ex-husband.
