About this deal

Written by Brian Cockerill, his wife Emma, and Steve Wraith, the preface of the book says it is a "true account of what really happened in Teesside in 1991". This book has had me up late night reading and knackered for work but I tell you what it was worth it.

No inscription, small neat annotations to title page and page 342, sound tight binding, pages clean and bright, gentle rubs to fore-edge corners. It includes pictures of when Lee Duffy was a youngster growing up in South Bank, as well as documenting Brian's bodybuilding career too. There are accounts from people who knew Duffy because they had worked the doors with him and witnessed the many fights he had with drunks and doormen alike, and accounts from people who had hung around him and were privy to his inner thoughts.Viv Graham and Lee Duffy led parallel lives as pub and club enforcers, raging their gangland turf wars with a fierce frenzy of brutality and unremitting cruelty. From the author of the best selling Paul Sykes books ’Unfinished Agony’ and ‘Further Agony’ Jamie Boyle. There was another side to Lee that has never really been properly documented until now, and the author has certainly done that in a fair, balanced and respectful way with this book. I do think Jamie seems a cool bloke and yes he is obsessed with Duffy and does glamorize him and make excuses for his often disgusting bullying behaviour, in fairness duffy is a fascinating character who's legacy has been built up probly way more than it deserves, I'd say he got beat many of times in a fair fight that we haven't heard of, but there is no doubt he was an absolute lunatic, the whole bullying thing is a cop out and all nonsense in my opinion, he had something wrong with him and by all accounts just thrived on violence and carnage he just loved hurting people to gain his reputation and install fear in everyone.

I am sure this book will change some peoples perceptions of him or at least certainly understand why he did some of the things that he did. But the book also shows a different side to Lee Duffy, one of the most notorious criminals to operate on Teesside, explaining how he had regrets during his short life as well as being a joker. Richards has his own management company, Crimebiz, representing infamous and notorious underworld figures. Like most people he could argue till he was blue in the face but if he was proved wrong then he would always apologise and admit that he was wrong. Viv Graham and Lee Duffy led parallel lives as pub and club enforcers, raging their gangland turf wars with a frenzy of brutality and unremitting cruelty.

Make no mistake, this will be the definitive book on Lee Duffy, there will be no more 'ifs' and 'buts after its release. Make no mistake, this will be the definitive book on Lee Duffy, there will be no more ‘ifs’ and ’buts after its release.

There were a few times where I had told him something about someone and then later on if we bumped into that person he would repeat what I had said about them to their face.

Bought this book on the Friday finished it Saturday couldn’t put it down well written well worded Jamie Boyle done lee justice long awaited truth some parts were funny but overall it was a very sad book the bullying. I’ve spoken to people who knew him as a child and he would often be seen walking around his estate late on a school night because he never wanted to go home. I only had a vague knowledge of him gleaned through other books were he was mentioned and it felt as though the author assumed the reader would have deeper knowledge of Lee Duffy .
