Vocals and instruments still stand out well and sound correct – something AKG headphones always tend to excel at. On one hand you can hear instruments and vocals reverbing of sides of recording studios in just about any track on "Kind of Blue".

Stu is determined to help you make sound decisions, and strives to deliver the best and most in-depth content on the internet! Going back to other headphones after a few days of listening, I kept thinking on wanting to come back to these because of it.

Some frequency range differences were noticeable and overall was clearer than before, but the big difference was the wider sound stage. I’m a very logical person and to me a AMP or DAC shouldn’t alter the sound in any way and you should be hearing the sound the way the engineers made it.

Being hand-crafted in Austria, the K712 PROs represent the high quality and legendary design AKG is known for.It’s obvious from the self-adjusting elements took top priority in this effort, with things feeling incredibly secure when worn for longer listening sessions, but avoiding the usual fatigue and discomfort that can accumulate at the temple and other parts of the head. In fact for a while they will be my last pair of headphones for probably anouther 5 years or so and I'll probably stay out of this industry once again after I get my new DAC/AMP from JDS labs.
