About this deal

Bram Stoker's eternally terrifying classic established the genre, with its looming Transylvanian castle; creepy undead bloodsuckers; innocent maidens in danger; and unforgettable characters, including the insane insect-eating Renfield. My only complaint — and I’m hesitant to bring this up, for it is bad form to talk about pre-release galleys that have no bearing on the published version — is that my electronic pre-release copy was full of missing letters and numbers in some sections of the text. As far as the plot is concerned, I’m assuming almost everyone is familiar with it by now, given how Dracula is such a huge cultural phenomenon. Other jurisdictions may have other rules, and this image might not be in the public domain outside the United States.

When Jonathan Harker is summoned to the Carpathian Mountains in Transylvania for a real estate transaction, he does not know he is entering the lair of the bloodthirsty vampire, Count Dracula. We take intellectual property concerns very seriously, but many of these problems can be resolved directly by the parties involved. Keep in mind that anyone can view public collections - they may also appear in recommendations and other places.

Educated at Trinity College, Dublin, in science, mathematics, oratory, history, and composition, Stoker' s writing was greatly influenced by his father' s interest in theatre and his mother' s gruesome stories about her childhood during the cholera epidemic in 1832.

For those of us not able to play on the only BBC Master Compact in the school, these role-playing books were the only half decent distraction from girls who were starting to look weird and sessions of British Bulldog that left your skull swelling every lunchtime.

Will he survive the deadly traps and cunning pitfalls laid by the centuries-old adversary, or will the bloodthirsty aristocrat claim another unfortunate victim?

The story is told in epistolary format, as a series of letters, diary entries, newspaper articles, and ships' log entries, whose narrators are the novel's protagonists, and occasionally supplemented with newspaper clippings relating events not directly witnessed. A short note is located at the end of the final chapter written 7 years after the events outlined in the novel.
