Designed for the Digital DJ, our super durable polycarbonate shell offers a high level of protection and slides straight into equipment bags, making it ideal for the travelling DJ. Just like its predecessor, the Digital DDJ-SX, the SP1 has designed and constructed to be strong and sturdy yet lightweight, and to uphold excitable use. You can use these performance pads to finger drum, incorporate your own samples, without the need for a computer.

The DDJ SP1 wonderfully complements tools like the DJM-900SRT, but it could also perform brilliantly with a wide selection of alternative Serato DJ controllers.The DDJ SP1 has been developed in partnership with Pioneer and Serato DJ specially for the software Serato DJ or Serato Scratch Live (mapping to do). While you might pay a premium for a solution like this, you also get a well-constructed and comprehensive way to update and improve your mixing experience. Shift + Back scrolls through the different layout views: Vertical, Horizontal, Extended, and Library. The rubber LED pads to give you access to seven modes, including Slicer, Hot Cue, Hot Loop, Roll, Auto Loop, Manual Loop, and more. Shift + Load Prepare scrolls through the special areas of the browser: Files, Browse, Prepare, and History.

With an excellent layout supported by a shift layer, the DDJ SP1 provides a handy way to upgrade the control and pad sections of your SX mixer. One particularly impressive bonus feature of the DDJ-SP1 is that it comes with a license for Serato Video. The DDJ-SP1 comprises the most important performance pad and effects deck controls from those sections on the DDJ-SX, along with a track browsing section and a sampler volume fader. And, if you subscribe to the Creative plan, use Cloud Library Sync for seamless library management across multiple devices, and easily make custom versions of tracks in Edit mode.The button for Load Preparing sends tracks instantly to the Prepare folder of the browser, complete with a holding area for dragging tracks into crates. The convenient location of the slider enables quick volume adjustment during finger drum performances.

The DDJ-SP1 slicer mode cuts a section of your playing track into a variety of parts, so you can assign them to your eight pads. The DDJ-SP1 is very compact but its buttons and knobs all feel very durable and can probably endure intense playing and travel. The Pioneer DDJ-SP1 is completely MIDI assignable through the USB port included as part of the hardware.
