The joint material is well suited for both new joints and renovation of coatings of natural stone or concrete. Dansand® joint filler is made entirely from silica sand, natural high pH minerals and a natural binding agent. Fortunately the very heavy Dansand pack was delivered by a well built strong chap who carried it to rear of the house for us, as it would have been impossible for us to move it to the garden area. In a groundbreaking announcement at BTME 2024, Agrovista Amenity revealed the much-anticipated launch of Maxtima®, a revolutionary turf fungicide.

The landscape range includes heavy duty Gabion cages, sleeper fixing brackets, base grids to retain aggregates (ideal for creating paths and foundations on which to sit garden sheds/offices) and lawn edging. Also, the lime and mineral content in the filling material may leave a whitish coating on the paving stones. This means that the plaster may absorb salts from the filling sand, leading to efflorescence which cannot be washed off. Excellent product, easy to apply and although not yet tested, it would be great if it did inhibit weeds. You can also use a high-pressure cleaner, but be careful not to damage the paving stones or the sublayer.

I just jet washed my huge drive, next step is to kill the weeds and then I am looking to fill the huge gaps between the slabs.

Available in 5 colours ranging from black to beige, Easy Joint’s product is again more expensive than Dansand No Grow, so it may not be ideal for larger paving projects. NOTE: Never use Dansand joint filling sand in the joint directly adjoining the plinth to avoid efflorescence and plaster cracking. I refurbished my drive and Patio and bought Dansand No Weed Block paving sand as a replacement to ordinary dry kiln sand.
