About this deal

In fact, that’s a major theme of the QBX: it’s almost entirely toolless, and doesn’t need screws in most of the places I expected them. However, there's a light at the end of the tunnel, and if you take your time (and possibly make some concessions), you'll end up with a mini-ITX build that's actually about as mini as you can make it, if you max out the parts. The case could be a bit more flexible and allow more common 160mm PSUs, although the cables attached to those power supplies would likely block a long graphics card from fitting in the case.

The full-size GTX 960 fits just fine, but this would be a great case for a mini-ITX size GTX 970 or an AMD R9 Nano. After I decided to use the Cougar QBX, from there I start to try to find any informations as many as possible from its specs, what's the biggest components it can take based on its official specs, until to finally I found the untold specs that this case hides inside itself, and then I saw a wider choices of components to keep me consistent with my initial idea. For the PSU, I was thinking about it for a month to find which SFX PSUs are available in my country. It isn't much of an issue if you're using integrated graphics, as you can use the space that would normally be occupied by a discrete graphics card for cables, too.

When I first tried to insert the MSI GTX 960, it was bumping up against the cables and wouldn’t align with the slot properly. It actually touches the side panel but only a light touch on the fan rubber pads, it doesnt even push the panel, so I still can slide the panel on and off quite easy. I know it's ugly, I know I cut the case, the motherboard doesn't meet the mounts and I need to 3D print a corner cover (prototype next to it) but I put a full micro ATX mobo and Psu in a mini itx case. For liquid-cooling setups, you have the option of installing a 240mm radiator or a 120mm radiator, though if you do go with the bigger of the two, you'll have to sacrifice a fan and compromise cooling performance.

I dont take an option to use slim 120mm fans on the bottom, so I'll leave it like this for sometimes. The QBX comes bundled with all of the screws and fittings you’ll need, as well as a screw in mesh for one of the extra fan mounts; nothing fancy, but it’ll get us through the build. It may not be entirely seamless, requiring at least one proper Philips PH2 screwdriver and some prep work in advance, but it is not difficult. I can use that PSU shroud vents as I want because I oriented the PSU where its fan faces in rather than out. Sliding the card into its slot was no problem, but snapping the two tiny cables onto their connector nubs to link out to the antenna.
