A clear wood preserver is an excellent treatment for protecting and preserving the natural appearance of your wooden furniture or fences.

For a translucent finish you can apply one coat of a Royal colour with Royal Clear over the top, giving a harder surface finish. For example, if you like a subtle look of just one coat of Wood Stain and Protect which will give a light wash effect you can increase waterproofing and protection by adding one or two coats of Clear Tough Coat. Fence stain colours can enhance the natural wood look and require less maintenance, making staining a popular choice.

Quick-drying exterior wood stain protects against cracking and peeling and is ideal for outdoor wood, including joinery and window frames. Protects the wood against weather strain by slowing the effects from moisture, UV radiation of the sun and soiling. A 1 litre tin will cover approximately 8m2 depending on moisture content and porosity of the surface.

Special precaution should be taken during surface preparation of pre 1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead. Wash nozzle and pipe from sprayer immediately after use with warm water and detergent – do not allow product to dry in sprayer components. Please note that none of our Clear Coats contain UV blockers so your timber will still grey naturally over time.
