Beautiful Oops is a fun, wonderful book that teaches children that mistakes can be opportunities for creativity. After reading it, have the art teacher demonstrate how she can turn an artwork "mistake" into something beautiful. Really fun idea but not sure of who its audience is meant to be -not sophisticated enough for adults and too many parts to destroy for little ones!

I never leave reviews but, was so compelled to do so, as my 4 year old son can not put this book down! Barney Saltzberg is the author and illustrator of close to 50 books for children, including Beautiful Oops!At first, I thought that this book would be best for young children, much younger than my second-grade students. I bought this for my toddlers, to remind them and myself that accidents happen and not to think the worst of everything. Clumsy kids will appreciate Barney Saltzberg’s imaginative book, which shows how mistakes (spills, tears, stains) can turn into something wonderful. This book helped him realize that he can make something beautiful from accidents and that mistakes are ok.

K. I love the book Beautiful Oops because it gives a positive spin on making mistakes and lets children know that its okay and we can learn from our oops. This is what my almost-three-year-old toddler said about the book after asking me to read and read it again for about fives times in a row!Barney Saltzberg is the author and illustrator of close to 50 books for children and has also recorded four CD’s of music for children. My daughter has been struggling with making mistakes, it’s often the end of the world, but this book shows the opportunities created by little ‘mistakes’.
