As a tile-laying artist, you have been challenged to embellish the walls of the Royal Palace of Evora. Players take turns in selecting tiles from the round tile factories which are drawn randomly from the bag, 4 tiles to a factory. It lives up to its purpose of being a travel version, containing 4 sturdy game boards, a small plastic game tray and an ornate bag that contains the intricately decorated plastic tiles. Each turn, players choose a colour and take all tiles of that colour from one of the factories or from the middle pile if there are tiles there. Plastic overlays for the player boards with integrated sliding scoring markers are included, so you can even play this edition on a moving train, plane or boat.There are sufficient tactics and strategies to keep you engaged without it being off-puttingly complex. The quality of the components and thought which has gone into making this travel sized version make this a must own mini game! Points are awarded for collecting sets of the same color tile or creating specific patterns, but beware of penalties for taking tiles that cannot be used. Player boards are smaller and come with studs to hold the tiles on during play as well as black plastic sliders at the top of the board to keep the score.
