Smooth and sturdy, the IC400 Pro provides the most advanced cycling performance due to its high quality construction. The ride feels smooth and is very quiet, however I was a bit worried the bike wasn't for me as I found the resitance far too hard even on its lowest setting. This should be very good for a good workout, but it is not on par with replicating a spin studio experience due to the odd resistance (details below). There is plenty of adjustment left after I set it to suit me that I would say it would be big enough for somebody 6ft 5”. With stainless steel construction, you get a strong, sturdy frame designed with high intensity workouts in mind.
Once again new bike and collection of faulty bike didn’t take place on the day it was meant to (deja vu! Add to this the high levels of comfort that this bike affords, and it is clear to see why it consistently performs well in user reviews. You can rely on this bike to give you a hard time for those simulated hill climbs during your routine. There is a wire from the handle bar which connects into the display to measure heart rate from the handle bar sensors.
I also liked how the frame has been covered in a special powder to ensure that it doesn’t wear down over time and maintains its aesthetic finish. Our testers ranged from 5’5” to 6’1” and neither had to take the seat or handlebar height to either extreme. This enabled me to set up my tablet and watch TV shows and movies while cycling at a slow pace for a longer period. The tough rubber belt ensures a quiet operation, whilst also requiring less maintenance thanchain driven bikes. The IC400 looks great on the outside but is equally well made on the inside, which we’ll look at shortly. The monitor is not as bright or as clear to use as I would have liked and at times can be confusing to set up.
The adjustable seat height and handlebar height/horizontal adjustments helped me to find a specific riding position that felt best for my body. A handy tablet holder lets your own device take over – ideal if you choose to use those multi-player / scenery apps.
