It’s really easy for me to find flaws in others, but I don’t want to admit there is anything wrong with me. Everywhere Jesus went, He was healing people, teaching in the synagogues, pouring Himself into His disciples. I know that is a goal that I will never achieve but I still find myself caught up in the fear of NOT being perfect, of doing something wrong, or even doing something and then having people think what a FREAK!

When a loved one’s alcoholism brought me to Al‑Anon, I found a new, second family, a family that helped me discover the me that had been hidden for so long, a family that will always be there for me. We teach community members about the 7 stages of grooming and how to protect the children in their lives. Gardening was mostly at a standstill except watering a little in an attempt to keep the garden alive. Powerful enough that when my mood falls and I don’t know why, I ask myself first if the reason is because of the absence of anticipatory pleasure.
