About this deal

The Gro-snug is available in two different weights - Light and Cosy, for different room temperatures. I've been swaddling and then using a grosnug for my LO as she wakes herself up with the startle reflex, but she's now getting too big for the grosnug and seems very frustrated when I put her in it. She also had a tendency to wake herself up with flailing arms, so having them neatly tucked away led to a better nights sleep for all of us!

I knew we had to find a solution and something safer than just placing him with a blanket over him instead (where he could get the blanket over his mouth/face etc by accident) and when I went to purchase sleeping bags for him instead believing that would be the safe answer – I was surprised to see that really there was none on the market suitable generally. One of the features I loved about it was that although it could be used to swaddle it could also be used as a baby sleeping bag by undoing the poppers on the side. I know that the Grosnug will keep my baby safe at night and takes away the stress of worrying about blankets and risks. Our first son loved to be swaddled from birth, and was one of the key triggers for him sleeping soundly each nap and bedtime.

I didn't like the fact that the zip started just underneath baby's chin, it was a very snug fit and it made me feel nervous that it would be too tight around her neck especially after wriggling in the night. There has been some debate about whether swadding is good for babies, so it was reassuring to know that the Grosnug has been designed with curved seams to ensure a healthy hip position. The one thing you learn super quickly when you’re pregnant and start reading all the baby blogs is the benefits of swaddling. The Gro Snug is designed to be wider on the bottom half so that baby has room to move their legs but is tighter across the chest. Although I received my first Gro-Snug for testing purposes to review, within a few days I had gone straight out and purchase a few more myself as there is no way I would be without this Sleeping bag for my little one until he is old enough to use a normal sleeping bag.Me too, it was my sister in law who first told me about The Gro Company when she was pregnant with my nephew. I think it’s fair to say he has had his wear out of it as it has been used almost every night from a few days old and tomorrow he will be 9 weeks.

The Gro Snug is the first stage to providing your baby with a safer, comfortable, and content night’s sleep. Although we did used to chuckle when he wiggle his arms cos they couldn’t move much 😂 he’s 9 weeks old now and we have just transitioned him out of the swaddle bag into a sleeping bag with no problems. The zip doesn’t ever make contact with Neve’s face or body, with small zip protector flaps concealing them safely away from the skin. The only slight challenge of the Grosnug with the arms contained is when breastfeeding, as I found it could be a little tricky to get Neve comfortable against the breast as her arms were quite bulky in front of her. We know all babies are different and G is very different from his big brother, and it turns out he isn’t a huge fan of being swaddled.
