About this deal

There are also other features that you won’t see but you will definitely notice when grinding the coffee: Eureka’s silent technology, for instance, makes it up to 10 dB quieter than the previous generation allowing you to prepare your early morning coffee without waking up the whole family. However, with a largely plastic construction and ceramic burrs, it is unlikely to last as long as the Specialita. This machine features silent technology, so it's slightly quieter than the mignons which don't have this, although as I said earlier it's not huge. This doesn’t mean you’ll get the caffeine from your specialty coffee beans to your bloodstream much quicker – though that is a nice perk.

The Zero isn't for everyone though, it's a bit too much for many budgets, not everyone wants to single dose and many people want more in terms of features than just having an on-off switch, so it's a case of each to their own really. I don't think you can go too far wrong with a Eureka Mignon grinder, and looking at what they tend to sell for used, they seem to retain their value quite well, so I wouldn't even be too concerned about the potential of losing a great deal of money if I were to decide on a Mignon and then change my mind and sell it on a bit later.

The silenzio has 50mm burrs, but these are the standard Eureka hardened steel burrs made with espresso in mind. However, I will say that the Specialita is available from a greater number of distributors and might be easier to find on sale. A better comparison would probably be with one of the higher end Mignons such as the Atom or Zenith. Thanks to its specific geometry and adjustable support, the hands-free Eureka fork is ideal for any kind of portafilter and allows the barista to accomplish other operations during the grinding phase.

When I upgraded from a cheaper grinder to the much more powerful Specialita, I assumed increased volume would be a necessary evil, but I was wrong. Coffee Equipment – If you are looking for coffee equipment, a cappuccino machine, espresso machine or a coffee machine, then you have come to the right company.

Eureka Mignon Specialita espresso grinder is exceptionally quiet thanks to the inclusion of Eureka’s “Silent Technology. I think it's the perfect "household" grinder that will satisfy both the coffee geek and the other members of a household who just want a grinder that's easy to use with timed dosing. The micrometric system with infinite adjustment points, the only one based on the lower burr repositioning, guarantees incomparable grinding performances and allows to carry out maintenance operations without losing the grinding setting. From pulling espresso shots in hipster filled cafés, to roasting beans to perfection or tinkering with espresso machines - we've been there, done that.
