About this deal

Some blokes at work a few years ago had some Chicken Wings left over from some takeaway they were eating. But for those of us who revel in the thrill of spicy sensations, this hot sauce is a must-have in our culinary arsenal. The product contains onions, garlic, vinegar and a miscellaneous assortment of spices but literally all I can taste is tomato purée and a similarly concentrated version of your standard supermarket variety red chilli flavour. Though it's not too bitter like some extract sauces, some fingerfuls do have a slight bitter element to them and I am not at all impressed by Dave's Insanity's otherwise lacklustre taste.

We offer 4 different kinds of Dave's Gourmet Hot Sauce that is promised to satisfy your crave for hotness! They say it has a very nice flavour and is a good addition to home cooked meals or a great chilli sauce with plenty of heat. By the 2nd sandwich, my nose started playing up, my eyes were watering, my mouth was lightly throbbing, and I could feel the burn in my throat. I've used Dave's Gourmet Original Insanity Hot Sauce in a variety of dishes – from drizzling it over tacos and burritos to mixing it into marinades for an extra kick. Was not expecting quite this much from Dave's, if I'm honest, but I've done a few things in between if you ever feel like testing your limits again. Part of the problem was that prior to experiencing Dave's Insanity sauce, I thought I could take hot sauce pain with the best of them.

The hottest I have on hand is Melinda's Naga Jolokia, which is about as hot as I want, but it's very tasty. I brought a bottle of this into work around 2000 sometime and shared with some of the guys who loved the heat. This insanely spicy and delicious cooking ingredient should be used diluted (with oil) or in soups, sauces, or dressings. About 5 mins after that he was in the restroom right next to the office washing his junk in the hand sink.

Tinned Beans – Oh so good for all your favourite Mexican recipes, refried beans are a staple ingredient for burritos, wraps, nachos etc. It’s a great piece of hot sauce history but, if you want something edible, try Hot-Headz’ own Scorpion or Reaper sauce instead.

This sauce brings the heat in a big way, delivering a powerful kick that lingers on your taste buds. Experience your chili, wings, burgers, and pizza one drop at a time with insane heat and ultimate flavor. Dave's Gourmet Ultimate Insanity Sauce offers a heat experience that is even hotter than Insanity, yet doesn’t back down in flavor. It dies down reasonably quick after its savage attack to both point of contact and the upper back of the throat but you can feel a definite warmth where it's been long afterwards and all the way down. I wonder how many potential future chileheads this sauce turned off to really spicy stuff back in the '90s because it taught them that the hotter a product tastes the shittier it has to taste.

Well, the official numbers on Dave's Insanity place it at around one hundred and eighty thousand scoville, roughly the average heat of a dried habanero. Challenges – Eat it, Video it, Survive it, Post it – Challenges are all the range and we have the latest from around th eworld. I found that over time the severity of this sauce lessened as I got used to it, but I still only use a little at a time with pizzas, curries and many other dishes. Having said that and having used Daves for 20+ years, I would say maybe the bite is not as fierce as when it first came out.
