About this deal

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. The silicone stuff, by the way, cost 6 €, but it served for more than one pen: the next one was a Sheaffer Prelude, because it has a much too thin grip section. But this would mean that the line width would be slightly thicker than if the channel wasn’t widened. I will pass on doing a review on this one for now, I think the Lamy series have had so many reviews by so many people who are very experienced I cannot see if there is anything I could add that hasn't been covered.

Fast writing is not ideal with these nibs, not only because of ink flow but because it's hard to keep them properly aligned with the page. Brought this pen to clean up my line work on paintings it works ok but only just and the ink is really weak not very black more very dark gray.Ergonomic body - Combining the balance and nib shape of the quill pen with the convenience of a modern fountain pen for comfortable grip. For those that like to use watercolors after laying down links, it’s not as the wash will cause the lines to run. I was surprised at how easily the ink flowed and the amount I could vary the line width with only a slight turn of the barrel.

I have the Carbon Pen which is great and a DP-1000 is on the way but I'm wondering if you know whether it will be okay with the Carbon ink or should I stick with regular fountain pen ink? Have only ever cleaned it or flushed it when changing inks and then only with water, other than that it just gets to stay inked. However, it’s essential to maintain the same amount of pressure throughout or you may end up with patchy writings (darker and lighter patches for areas where greater and lighter pressure are applied respectively). But since the ink is fast drying and waterproof, there is a chance that it will eventually clog the channel of the pen. There are 3 pen caps for each of the nibs (although the top of each pen cap specifies the nib size it is to be used for, each pen cap fits all three nibs perfectly well). At First Stop Stationers we’ve got everything you need from office stationery such as ballpoint pens and notebooks to luxury fine writing pens and much, much more. To try the pen out with different line widths and shading, I doodled a thumbnail sketch of a tree growing out of a boulder.I got these 3 fountain pens recently and this is my review on how they function as pens for drawing. At 18cm in length, it’s not as short as many fountain pens (shown here with a Lamy Safari), tapering off to a narrow rounded end which sits quite comfortably in the hand.

The lines are clean and distinct, but smooth enough on the edges for even new users to be comfortable with.Rather than the sketch and flexibility I am worried about the cleaning and Ink filling (is it necessary to disassemble it as you do?
