Contains 3 new pieces, as well as your favourite open string pieces and tunes using the finger pattern 0-1-23-4. Sometimes this will be due to overwhelming demand, and sometimes it will be due to circumstances beyond our control, such as the item having gone to reprint or out of print.

Great little tunes, opportunity to create your own, uses ‘proper’ music and the letters for numpties like me who are totally hopeless at reading music but want to help/be supportive. The overall plus of this book, I feel, is the emphasize on singing as an integral part of the learning process from the start and pupils' active encouragement in rhythmic engagement every step of the way. Carefully paced to suit young learners, it supports players through the important early stages, step by step-from how to hold your instrument and bow, through basic notation, to exciting pieces in a range of styles. It's good for new and enthusiastic beginners, has clear diagrams on fingering and notes which for her tone deaf mother (me) is great as I have no idea what so ever!Covers the finger patterns used in Joggers and Runners and includes all the scales and arpeggios for ABRSM Grades 1 and 2. This will then enable you to use the tracks in digital format if your venue does not have a CD player available.

Carefully paced to suit young learners, the book supports players through the important early stages, step by step-from how to hold your instrument and bow, through basic notation, to pieces using the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd fingers. Perhaps they’ve practised consistently well, completed a particular piece, played in a school concert or completed a Fiddle Time Book! I think this book explains all about the violin and how to play it excellently, would recommend it to anyone.

With his wife Kathy, he has written and published over 60 books for young string players: Fiddle Time, Viola Time, Cello Time and several ensemble collections, all published by Oxford University Press. In the circumstances outlined above, we will do our best to contact you and inform you of any anticipated delays. Simple and very clear and concise explanations about time and notes, good illustrations and easy little songs to learn at the beginning, but get longer and slighter harder towards the end as you would expect when a child progresses with violin skills.
