I have no such comfort issues here, in fact i believe these are the most comfortable headphones i've ever used. Also the DT880 is not modular, it does not detacheable cables, and hence definitely not as durable as HD600. So this headphone is 250 ohms, which means that these cans cannot be driven by a regular mp3 device. They respond well to my E11, but really start to shine with the E9 (about 10 o'clock on the pot) and absolutely shine on the PortaTube. The rear of the pads look identical, but I noticed the velour material goes farther back on the 880 pad before the seam. The 100 Hz to 4 kHz region is not exactly flat but the curve is quite even and doesn’t have any resonances, this helps them sound more neutral in the mids than most of the other headphones out there.

The wide stereo image, neutral sound and the extremely high resolution make the beyerdynamic DT 880 PRO headphones a reliable benchmark-setter for studio use. I'm very glad there are members who, regardless of what "average public opinion" is, just speak the truth of their experience. The actual impedance of the 600 Ω version is about 660 Ω, but more importantly, it's almost purely resistive.I suspect this amp would do wonders on any high impedance headphone with a "dark" or "veiled" sound signature like most Sennheisers. As this page is copyrighted and formally registered, it is unlawful to make copies, especially in the form of printouts for personal use. A proper headphone amp should be able drive these to about 7 V RMS or 20 dBm or 100 mW into 600 Ω, which is more than deafening. Die Impedanz (Ohm) muss mit dem Audio-Interface übereinstimmen, das sie antreibt, damit sie gut ist.
