About this deal

Banksy says that he was inspired by "3D", a graffiti artist who later became a founding member of Massive Attack, an English musical group. As Banksy continues to challenge the political, economic, and racial oppression that takes place every day in cities around the world, this book offers a timely appreciation of just how the artist has embedded himself into the psyche of the powerful as well as the voiceless without ever revealing his own identity. The authors look also at the economic impact of the show, the media’s role in creating its notoriety, and the question so often avoided by the critics – how does Banksy rate as an artist in his own right?

It is unclear if the new 2022 edition which features a black cover instead of white adds anything new. Until now, little to nothing is known about the the diversity of the Walled Off art editions and the quantities that were issued.

And to Banksy's great credit, he includes a brief conversation with an old Palestinian man which argues persuasively against creating art on the wall). The work of Banksy is unmistakable, except maybe when it's squatting in the Tate or New York's Metropolitan Museum. He studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan, and has been part of more than a hundred solo and group exhibitions, both in Italy and abroad.

Banksy is an England-based graffiti artist, political activist and film director of unverified identity. I think given the title ‘Seven Years With Banksy’, I would not expect there to be a great deal of new information in the newer version. As above, 250 signed and numbered copies with a thumb print on the front cover + additional blemishes, signed and numbered on the back with the STOT21stCplanB Thunderbolt Man, with signed, labeled and stamped screen print on 1250 micron grey pulp card laid inside.Artistic genius, political activist, painter and decorator, mythic legend or notorious graffiti artist? This book guides readers through Banksy’s artistic processes and explains his influences, such as the Situationism movement and the May 1968 uprising in Paris. In a culture that is so sated with the idea of celebrity, here's an artist who doesn't want to be recognised so that he can be free to get on with his work. Also featuring the controversial ‘Cheltenham Spies’ as well as ‘Girl with a Pearl Earring’, ‘Art Buff’ and the spectacular ‘Mobile Lovers’ which appeared outside Bristol Boys Boxing Club.
