About this deal

Flexible specification options to meet your needs, fully configurable and of course, upgradeable in future.

Some of the data that are collected include the number of visitors, their source, and the pages they visit anonymously. Slats are more prone to causing fan noise issues due to the angle of entry created – something true of the O11 Dynamic also. Front Panel: Solid sustainably sourced walnut front panel with aluminum power button and two USB ports: 1x USB 3.You can use a 120 AIO for your CPU IF you are using a very short, single fan GPU, but the M1 allows for a full 240 while still utilizing a full GPU.

One of the most interesting design features of the Terra is the adjustable positioning of the inner chassis of the enclosure. You can move the interior to the left or right, creating more space for either the CPU cooler or the graphics card. When it comes to mini-ITX cases, careful and efficient use of space is very important – everything helps. The ID-Cooling IS-55 cooler I use on this test system has a 57mm height, so I set this to position 5. Fractal stole a page right out of the Mercedes-Benz playbook and stuck a pair of gull wing doors on the case.

Because of this, we recommend removing the door entirely any time you build or do maintenance that’s more involved than just plugging something in. Enjoy an impactful and organised experience, complete with the option to install a GPU of up to 322 mm length within a compact 10. This is primarily an air cooling case, and we’d like to see a spot added for at least one exhaust fan somewhere to get the hot air out. Your Steam Library, anywhere Once you’ve logged into Steam Deck, your entire Steam Library shows up, just like any other PC. Last Updated: 2023-11-09 The Fractal Terra Mini-ITX case was the first through our revamped suite of ITX reviews.

Additional comment: Motherboard Spine is adjustable, which affects the min/ max GPU width and CPU cooler height. We assume Fractal is referring to the fact that hot air rises, but as we’ve said before, that doesn’t have much to do with cooling in a case when there are fans involved. Gently slide the top panel using the built-in tab, then effortlessly lift off the completely detachable side panels to conveniently access the internal components. What makes it better is that with a simple spring latch, these panels can easily be removed or reinstalled. In the CPU test, the temperatures were not the best I’ve measured in an SFF enclosure, but they were not unreasonably high and did not reach the point of Thermal throttling (100 C).

Inspired by the homes of modern gamers, Terra incorporates boutique design features such as thick panels cut from anodized aluminum, CNC-milled details and sustainably sourced solid walnut. In the GPU Test, the Terra equaled the best performance temperature performance of any SFF enclosure I’ve tested. Opening up the Terra’s gullwing doors unsurprisingly gave us the best result – 8*C lower on the GPU core and a massive 10*C lower on the hotspot reading. The Terra is less expensive and smaller, but won’t support liquid cooling or as long of a GPU as the EVO. With the side open, the case isn’t only quieter overall despite the same fan speeds, but its noise reduction primarily comes from the 500Hz to 4000Hz frequency range. While it’s a nice inclusion, I feel that more people interested in an enclosure like this will be using the Terra with a full size GPU and one of the better, low profile CPU coolers. Building my first ever SFF and wanted to know if this one would work ok or is there any component I should change.
