The first songs recorded were " It's So Hard" and " I Don't Want to Be a Soldier" in February 1971 at Ascot Sound Studios, during sessions for Lennon's single " Power to the People". It included many of the tracks from the album and some additional material from Ono's 1971 album Fly. Gimme Some Truth", first heard during the Let It Be sessions in early 1969, appears on the album with a new bridge.Using that as a starting point, we expanded it out as far as it felt it needed to go – in most cases, it was vocal work. and stereo versions of the Imagine album and select out-takes in a way that’s being presented as ‘Raw’.
