A hugely uplifting and full-of-heart picture book by CBeebies sensation George Webster and bestselling illustrator Tim Budgen! Tim Budgen is the outstanding illustrator of bestselling books such as Twenty Dinosaurs at Bedtime, Twenty Unicorns at Bedtime and The Magic Pet Shop series. Tim’s illustrations are bright, engaging and perfect for children! He talks about “seeing me for me” and not liking it when “people make assumptions about what I can and can’t do,” and that’s a path his parents have followed, too. As Rob says: “We’ve always said at school: don’t let him off work because you think he’s got a disability. He can probably do it – it might take a bit longer, he might approach it differently – but don’t give him a break, don’t let him play that card.” When I was a kid, there was no one on TV, in films, even in books, with Down’s syndrome,” George says. “At that time, they thought people like me shouldn’t go to mainstream school.” Mae gan bob un ohonon ni ein hoff bethau a'n cas bethau, a'r gallu i serennu yn ein ffyrdd arbennig ein hunain. Mae gan bawb gasgliad o gynhwysion unigryw sy'n ein gwneud ni yn ni.Yn achos George, un o'r cynhwysion niferus sy'n cyfrannu at ei rysáit unigryw ef ydy ei fod yn digwydd bod â Syndrom Down.

With a joyous rhyming story and a whole host of children alongside the main character, this powerful picture book is the perfect way to show children that not only are they amazing, but their friends, family and even people they haven’t yet met are amazing too! If you're coming to Coles by car, why not take advantage of the 2 hours free parking at Sainsbury's Pioneer Square - just follow the signs for Pioneer Square as you drive into Bicester and park in the multi-storey car park above the supermarket. Come down the travelators, exit Sainsbury's, turn right and follow the pedestrianised walkway to Crown Walk and turn right - and Coles will be right in front of you. You don't need to shop in Sainsbury's to get the free parking! Where to Find Us This is Me will bring out the glow in everyone! Our differences make us special. We don't all have to be the same. Imagine how boring the world would be if everyone had the same name. George seems to be very on top of the networking side of things; who else’s number has he got? “I’ve got loads!” he laughs. He tells me about one time when he was at Media City in Salford with his dad, and this tall guy was coming down the stairs. “He came up to me and said, ‘Hi George, I really love your work.’ Guess who it was? Freddie Flintoff!”George Webster is an actor, BAFTA-winning presenter, Ambassador for Mencap, and a star of Strictly Come Dancing 2022, including its Christmas Day special. George was catapulted into the public eye when he spoke about Down syndrome in his myth-busting video for BBC Bitesize, and was later asked to be a presenter on CBeebies. George was the first ever CBeebies presenter to have Down syndrome. People with Down’s are not always happy, he said: “People with Down’s syndrome have emotions and feelings like every other person.” Nor do they “suffer” from the condition, he explained. “I have an amazing life. It’s been very positive. I loved going to school. I went to two local amazing schools. I had support at both schools, which helped me in my education. I got GCSEs and an A-level equivalent in BTec sport, level 3.” This is me. I am George. My eyes are sparkly, just like my mum. Like my dad, I'm determined and brave, and like my sister, I'm full of FUN! You see, just like lots of people in the world, George has Down syndrome and he knows it doesn't define him - as there are so many things that make George wonderful, and Down syndrome is just one of them.
