Sky and Daz were destined to be together and (as is the case with most of these stories) you know where they will end up. They certainly kept us on our toes throughout which made for a more entertaining read. This book was about more than their romance though, it was about a community coming together, families reuniting and accepting their new relationships. I found that lump in my throat forming on quite a few occasions but I also laughed and smiled too. It’s not long before the locals are making themselves known and either enticing Sky to the local pub, or dictating what she should do to prepare for the annual street decorating competition. Whilst Sky may seem quite closed off she’s not shy about expressing herself and the way she handled the decoration committee had me grinning from ear to ear. She was firm without being rude and made it clear that she would do it her way and in her own time. The nature touches that were introduced in the story were lovely and once again showed how the simplest of activities can be the most enjoyable. I’d like to thank NetGalley and Harper Collins UK for approving me for an ARC of this book. This was a first for me, having never read anything by Sue Moorcroft, I wasn’t sure what to expect but I had heard great things. A White Christmas on Winter Street is now one of my favourite holiday reads and one I will return to over the years. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys holiday reads. Every time I read a new book by Sue Moorcroft I think, this is the best book she has written! I loved WINTER STREET. Elin Hilderbrand has woven together a juicy cast of characters with lots of drama for this Christmas-themed family treat. ❄🎄 Sky, I loved her so much, you can’t help but feel for her and connect with her , even if I’m not an eco-vegan perfect soul that she is, she’s so likeable and you just want her to come out on top every time. Darragh is our gorgeous leading man, he seems so perfect, gorgeous, charming (once the initial hostility has passed) and loves kids, is he too good to be true ? Well you’ll have to read it to find out because you’ll get no spoilers from me. I like how Sky and Daz had to work together for the greater good of the village and overcome their obstacles internally and externally to be able to find common ground and to evolve in regards to their own selves and in regards to their respective parts in their own relationships. I always like a good character growth concept. I have been a fan of Ms. Moorcroft for a while now, so of course I jumped at the chance to read her new book. I was definitely rewarded!
