About this deal

The story is a simple one but it is so magical and I love how all the forest animals help Ella in such a lovely and magical way.

Her friends come up with a plan and for the first time Ella is able to see the sunrise and still protect her delicate wings. Stella est une petite demoiselle dotée d'ailes et de jolies antennes duveteuses propres aux papillons de nuit. I was at my last school for 4 years and we had ********* book fairs every term – and every term, I was disappointed by the narrow range of books. Some of the rhyme felt a little forced to match the story, but the woodland creatures were charming and cute friends. Ella is a teeny-tiny girl with moth-like wings and antennae and because her wings are so delicate, she cannot go out into the sunlight so she gathers bits of light at night and shares it with anyone who needs it. I found the story engaging, but the chief draw for me (and the reason I picked this up from a library display recently) was the artwork. Until one day, when her animal friends decide it’s their turn to give back—with a creative plan that just may make Ella’s dream of seeing the sun come true.

One night, they got their friends together and created a den of darkness so that she could watch the sunrise without the light ruining her wings. I can see this becoming a firm favourite with little ones and it would make the most perfect bedtime story. One day they are able to create a den of darkness that protects her wings while allowing her to see the sunrise. I haven't charted out my visits for the summer term, but I'm sure there are several in the south) and thanks so much for being so fantastic! If you look very carefully at the night sky, you might spot a teeny-tiny sparkle out of the corner of your eye, a whisper of a tinkling trail… That’s Ella. The story follows a teeny girl named Ella, who cannot go out into the sun as the sun would burn her very delicate wings. Recommended to picture-book readers who enjoy stories about fairies, forest animals, and any combination thereto.

I rated it 4 stars because I think there are some better books about friendship out there even though this one was sweet. The illustrations were jammed-packed with details that you could miss if you weren't paying close attention to.Toutefois, ses amis pourraient bien avoir trouvé une solution afin de concrétiser le rêve de leur amie. They would also only drop off a case of books and leave us to run it – it was so lovely to have you on hand to chat to the children and recommend them books, as well as the small (but appreciated! C'est également une ode à la nuit, qui est souvent plus une source d'angoisse que d'émerveillement pour les plus jeunes.
