About this deal

The parents struggled to try to comprehend how someone so close to them could do this, especially without a motive. David Anthony McGreavy was born in 1951 in Southport to Thomas and Bella McGreavy and he was the second of six children. Aged 15 in 1967, Mcgreavy left school and achieved his lifelong ambition by enlisting in the Royal Navy. David McGreavy, now aged 65, has spent more than 40 years in prison, but has never offered any real explanation for his actions.

I don't know if he's expressed remorse, I don't know if he now realises the gravity of the offences that he committed. A reporter covering the story claimed there was an extremely eerie atmosphere in the court with David rarely looking up and evident hatred focused on this man.I cut off her breath, and then went into the bathroom and picked up the razor blade and used it on her. These included his improved self-control and the fact that Mr McGreavy has learnt to remain calm in stressful situations.

On Thursday June 28 1973, nine weeks after the killings, he appeared at Worcester Magistrates court. That same year in August his childhood dreams came to an end, he was discharged from the Navy and left, stumbling job to job. NOTE: other restrictions can be a result of our security platform detecting potential malicious activity. The Southport 'Friday the 13th killer' had been left in charge of the children by their father Clive Ralph while he went to pick up his wife Elsie - also known as Dorothy - from work. At his first Naval posting, HMS Eagle in Portsmouth, colleagues of Mcgreavy were struck by the arrogance and cockiness of the young rating, and he was frequently subject to disciplinary measures. This started with 7-month old baby Samantha crying for her milk bottle which frustrated David he wanted her to shut up, so he put his hand over her mouth and smothered her causing her to die through suffocation. Despairing, he threw himself into his relationship with Mary, and his infatuation intensified – to the point where despite being unemployed and poor, he had a lavish wedding all planned out for Christmas 1971. The maniac was jailed for life with a minimum term of 20 years after a trial which lasted just eight minutes because he pleaded guilty and did not claim diminished responsibility. The disapproval of his parents combined with his hyperfocus on the wedding and not her, made her realize that they didn’t really know one another, and she had made a mistake in accepting the proposal in the first place.

David Anthony Mcgreavy was born in Southport in 1951, the second eldest of six children born to Bella and Thomas Mcgreavy. McGreavy’s time in prison has been very much up and down, and that’s hinged on the extent to which his fellow prisoners are aware of the crimes that he’s carried out. They already had four year old Paul and one year old Dawn, and in September 1972 Elsie gave birth to Samantha. This is the forensic numerological criminal analysis and profile of David Anthony McGreavy, born on 24th September, 1951; known as The Monster of Worcester. All she has told me is that he’s been released, he’s got a tag and he’s got to obey by certain rules that they’ve given him,” she added. The Mcgreavy family were a forces family, and often moved around depending on where Thomas, a Sergeant serving in the Royal Signals, was posted to. The defining incident of his naval career occurred in the late 1960’s when he was stationed at RNAS Brawdy in Pembrokeshire, when he was sentenced to 90 days detention for negligence. He hasn't actually really known this girl at all but within one week of meeting her he's proposing marriage. It was suggested by one of the psychiatrists that there may have been a sexual motive behind this, but there was no question. Eight-month-old Samantha died from a skull fracture, 2-year-old Dawn had her throat slit and 4-year-old Paul was strangled.
