Bad news is that about 15 hrs after applying it started to rain a little and 24 hrs after the second coat the rain got heavier. I was hoping for 24 hrs without rain to allow it to fully cure. Application. Can not be simpler. Spray on the MF towel and wipe on the surface like using a QD, turn the towel to a dry side and remove immediately. Work in the shade. One bad thing IMO is that it does not leave a trace behind (if it does its not very noticible) so without proper lighting you can not tell where you applied it on the surface. Its like layering an invisible layer. You can layer it as much as you want as long as its 1h apart. Waxes, sealants, coatings… oh my! The paint protection industry is evolving every single day. New technology is pushing out new products faster and faster, and consumers now have so many options it can be a bit overwhelming. Today we are going to talk about one of those options, Gyeon CanCoat. If you are in not so ideal circumstances or have not applied a coating, this is a good product to try. Chemical resistance. Alternatively, mist a Meguiar's Even Coat Microfiber Applicator Pad with Gyeon Q² CanCoat and wipe a thin, even film of product over a single panel at a time before buffing off with either the supplied microfibre towel or a PB Super Buffing Towel. Either way, you should aim to complete all of the buffing off within 1-2 minutes, i.e. before the coating begins to harden. However, I have discovered a more effective way of applying the product which improves the performance and durability. Here’s how: Method 2Q² CanCoat EVO is the easiest coating to apply you will experience. It is also the best value for money product to protect or maintain your ceramic coated car. Its 200ml allows you to coat or re-apply it over 10 to 15 times! Best Practices for Ceramic Coatings In situations where it's not practical or possible to leave the car for 24 hours before applying the coating (which is certainly the case when working outside), then a Prep wipe down becomes strictly necessary (otherwise the coating won't bond properly to still curing SiO2 components). And, as you guessed, this does reduce the benefits of using Primer in the first place (personally I would only ever choose to use Primer when working indoors). Thus, in your case it might be better to use Polish instead, and simply go Polish > Prep > CanCoat (assuming the paint needs minor refinement before the coating is applied - if not then just go with Prep > CanCoat).

I relation to beeding. I honestly don't think it's any better than wet coat. Maybe I need to apply cure on top........surely the rain would not have washed this off or reduced the hydrophic ability after 15-20 hrs? In my opinion, it falls somewhere between the two categories. Can coat claims to provide many of the benefits of a true coating such as strong protection against chemicals, environmental contaminants, and UV rays, however it does not offer the same durability that most coatings can provide. Can Coat is like a more potent version of a spray sealant such as Gyeon Cure, but a less potent version of a coating like Gyeon Mohs. Can Coat may be applied on top of an existing coating or as a stand alone layer of protection. I used CSL topped w/ C2V3 on a vehicle, applied January 2017 and it was among the poorest at self cleaning among the many coatings I have tried; it rained, it needed washing. The base CSL significantly improved in this area after a month or two, likely when the C2V3 application wore off. After 8 months and 20k+ miles, the CSL was doing alright but CSL alone is not really noted for its extensively entertaining water behavior so I was looking for something to maintain the richness of the base CSL look (which I liked) but wanted something a bit more long lasting than a standard topper/booster to improve the self cleaning/hydrophobic behavior….so I topped it with a layer of CanCoat, which totally transformed the performance of the CSL in a definitely positive manner. The CanCoat added a bit of pleasing to me candy-gloss pop to the CSL and CanCoat has great hydrophobic/self-cleaning characteristics which it lent to the overall performance of the vehicle. Regular maintenance washes with strong but pH neutral shampoos like CarPro Reset, TAC Mystic Bubble, regular Gyeon Bathe or Bathe Essence
