About this deal

Nazjatar Blood Serpent is a Secret Mount added in Battle for Azeroth. This serpent is a red recolor of the Riddler's Mind-Worm Secret Mount from Legion. Zadkiel, a commander of the Word Bearers Legion, gives a speech to his massed followers at the launching of the Furious Abyss, a massive battleship constructed in secret by the Mechanicum on the little-known moon Thule. Shortly after the Word Bearers embark and the Abyss takes off, Thule is destroyed to keep the ship's construction secret. The Adherent of the Abyss might be hard to solo for undergeared characters in Battle for Azeroth, so make sure to bring a friend to help out.

BAT TLE FOR THE ABY SS - Black Library

Once you've collected all the fragments, combine them at the Altar of the Abyss to create the Abhorrent Essence of the Abyss. The altar is found at the end of a cave hidden behind a waterfall in Stormsong Valley. Adherent of the Abyss says: [Shath'Yar] YOU FOOLS! You cannot hope to comprehend the power you now trifle with! Battle for the Abyss is a novel by Ben Counter, and the eighth book in the Horus Heresy Series. Published in August, 2008, a sneak release of the book became available in July 2008. It was later included in "The Novels: Volume 2" eBook collection. Cestus faced one final disappointment generated by his chosen course of action when he was challenged for command of the venture by the leader of the Space Wolf contingent of his force, Brynngar Sturmdreng. Defeating the Wolf Guard in combat, Cestus was able to lead the final assault on the Furious Abyss, when the Wrathful caught up with it in the Macragge system. A desperate boarding action was ultimately successful, principally due to the valour and combat-skills of Cestus, Brynngar and Skraal, who together managed to begin a process that resulted in the ship's self-destruction. Cestus himself was able to kill Zadkiel, the Captain of the Word Bearers ship, although he was mortally wounded in return. He perished, duty done, as the Furious Abyss blew herself to pieces just short of the intended combat zone. [1] Appearance and Abilities

Adherent of the Abyss says: [Shath'Yar] I am FREE! I thank you... and now your souls shall sate my fathomless hunger. Skraal was able to survive alone and on the run inside the giant vessel for several weeks, until he was finally able to link up with his fellow loyalists some time later, in the wake of a second boarding action by forces under Cestus' command. [1k] During this last attempt to destroy the Furious Abyss, Skraal chose to sacrifice himself to buy Cestus and Brynngar Sturmdreng time. Cleaving his way through Zadkiel's personal guard, Skraal suffered many wounds and was finally stopped by a bolt-pistol shot from Zadkiel at close range. Before collapsing, Skraal was able to swing his chainaxe one last time, shearing through both Zadkiel's pistol and his hand. Zadkiel then stabbed the defiant World Eater through the head, killing him. [1l] Appearance and Abilities Now that news of Horus's treachery is in the open, a time of testing has come. Some Legions have already declared their allegiance to the Warmaster, while the loyalty of others lies firmly with the Emperor. As Horus deploys his forces, a small band of loyal Space Marines from disparate Legions learn that a massive enemy armada is heading to Ultramar, home of the Ultramarines, headed by the most destructive starship ever constructed. Unless they can intercept the fleet, and destroy the mighty battleship the Furious Abyss, the Ultramarines may suffer a blow from which they will never recover.

Cestus was interested, to some degree, in the human experience, and enjoyed learning about the more unusual (to him) sides of life. This included an interest in the more esoteric studies, which partially explained his tolerance of Mhotep and his methods. He was disappointed that his gene-built appearance, even shorn of his armour and weapons, could unnerve or intimidate ordinary humans. He shared a strong friendship with Antiges, his immediate subordinate. This friendship was said to improve their battlefield performance, as their personalities mixed together to form balance - where Cestus was emotive but cautious, Antiges was impatient and aggressive. [1] The Adherent will drop the Nazjatar Blood Serpent for the summoner only, and the Aether of the Abyss for everyone in the party. Shath'Yar Translations Now that news of Horus's treachery is in the open, a time of testing has come. Some Legions have already declared their allegiance to the Warmaster, while the loyalty of others lies firmly with the Emperor. As Horus deploys his forces, loyalist Astartes learn that a massive Word Bearers fleet is heading to Ultramar, home of the Ultramarines. Unless they can intercept the fleet, and destroy the mighty battleship that has been sent to reinforce it, the Ultramarines may suffer a blow from which they will never recover. A remarkable sight, Skraal's head was covered in scar-tissue, with pronounced veins and a recurring twitch that spasmed his right eye; this combination made him appear somewhat unhinged. Indeed, Skraal appeared on edge fairly frequently. He wore armour as battered as his face, a skull-helmeted, dented and chipped suit of Mark.V Power Armour painted in the blue and white colours of his legion. His voice was described as having an iron quality to it. [1a] Skraal armed himself with chainaxe, bolt pistol and storm shield. [1d]Cestus: Honour Guard Commander, Fleet Commander and Captain. Died of wounds inflicted aboard the Furious Abyss.
