As the designer shares, ‘I do not think shoes have to be practical. They can also stand alone as pieces of art.’ With the way technology and research advance these days, materializing these inflatable concept shoes might be a possibility. Neon colors ornate UV-Zhu’s designs. A strip of purple and green mesh with gray, or a flush of pink and yellow against caramel. They amplify the fun and vibrant vibes the shoes exude. Not to be outdone Nike would release their own inflatable basketball shoe the same year in the NIKE AIR PRESSURE (which inflated at the heel in contrast to Reebok’s cleverly designed basketball pump on the tongue). and NIKE AIR FORCE 180 PUMP -which utilized a pump that could adjust not only the collar but also the arch of the shoe-The included bike pump is off-the-shelf ‘meh.’ It works (faster than we thought!), but we’d love to see a dual-action pump that inflates during both the push and pull cycle. craig green (see more here) has recently unveiled a foretaste of his footwear autumn/winter 2022 campaign, grabbing the public’s eye. bolted-in or inflatable accents combined with vivid colors — resembling flotation devices — mark the latest manifestation in collaboration with adidas. however, one can confirm this collaboration, only by noticing the characteristic dots of adidas that pierced the shoe in three rows from each side, as well as through the brand’s logo stamped on the front of the inflated shoe.
