About this deal

From her debut novel, 2009’s A Kind of Intimacy, Ashworth’s work has explored physical discomfort, violence and sexual misadventure. For weeks she tells no one, carrying on her cleaning job at the university, visiting her tricky, dementia-suffering father and holing up in her high-rise flat with a bottle to hand. The link throws up even more moral dilemmas and a fair bit of angst once the pair realise what they have in common. I was intrigued by the title and also the cover, which doesn’t really suggest paranormal happenings. This is Walsh’s first book under her own name though she wrote a love and dating column and published a number of books under the pseudonym Lucy Robinson.

Sarah is surprised to fall in love with Eddie David whom she meets by seeming coincidence near the place where the accident happened. deep down Kennedy still loved Jonathan, but she knew she couldn’t let him break her little girl’s heart. Ghosted is a romantic thriller that blends several elements of the contemporary romance, crime, and mystery genres. The contrast she’s construed in terms of her upbringing, traits and surroundings with Jonathan’s is nothing less than perfectly imperfect.

Carole has also learned of Sarah’s pregnancy from Hannah, which she eventually reveals to Eddie, six days after Sarah’s due date. The angst and the healing journey they had, the 'rebuilding of the trust's moments and the promise to forever by the end—perfection itself. And it’s impossible not to feel their love, their chemistry and not to root for them to end up together. Possible Triggers: Yes Drug/alcohol use/abuse/addiction (H on page), domestic violence (H's dad to H - on page), the h was a virgin and unexpected pregnancy (on page). The field straggled up the steep hill behind our house, flattening just enough at the top to fit a tent.

Ultimately, what most impressed me about this novel was that it had the potential to feel cliche and trite and unimportant. Laurie can’t fully explain her behaviour even to herself, or the strange presence she senses in the flat. This became Backpack, an adult thriller which won the WH Smith New Talent Award, and she has since written eleven more adult novels published in the UK and around the world. He can switch moods in a moment, change scenes in an instant, flip the script without anybody even realizing it’s happening. Hannah was like a tiny bulldozer—she never ran out of counterarguments—and our parents inevitably gave in. As an adolescent and into new adulthood, I approached all romantic relationships with serious trepidation. Often, I’d stay awake long after my little sister and her friend had slackened into sleep, wondering what kind of protection I’d actually be able to offer were someone to burst in.

It’s another excellent and consistently interesting success from one of the few still-publishing authors whose books I will always look out for.

They are connected instantly and fall in love, but years later after some rough times they are separated. Maxine Mitchell is passionate about animals, traveling, coffee, a good bottle of wine, and great stories. In fact, one of my favorite things about this story was the way that the past story and present story were revealed in such a manner that they were always "opposing". It was only one week – but she was sure they loved each other, that they made a once in a lifetime connection. But even though it came naturally now—even though I spoke at medical conferences around the world, gave interviews to news crews, managed a team—I felt unsettled when people remarked on it.
