If your camera is paired, the image from the camera should be displayed on screen. The camera icon should appear on the top left or right of the screen. The sound sensors are fantastic. These allow you to leave the monitor in standby with the screen off, saving battery life; it will pop on when it detects anything. The amber light on the camera cannot be switched off or dimmed but covering this light should not impact how it functions. Although the monitor benefits from a large display, it falls down slightly on quality. The resolution of the screen does look very granular. It works just fine for the job, but takes a bit of getting used to at first. The key here is that you can detect breathing movements in the little one and see facial expressions easily enough, so it does the job well.

Large metal objects and other electrical devices can impact the signal. Try relocating any object that could be causing interference Drill holes to the same depth as the wall plugs and insert suitable wall plugs for the type of wall. Screw in the screws through the base of your camera

The range is the maximum distance the Baby unit and the Parent unit can have between them and still work together. BT Video Baby Monitors are tested to ensure they have a range of up to 50 metres indoors and 250 metres outdoors. A useful temperature gauge is displayed on the monitor, thanks to a thermal sensor in the camera. Compared to a dedicated thermometer, there was a little play by a degree or so, but as a general guide it works well.

Automatic night vision is still one of the most useful features. The 6000 has a super-clear night vision system that is as vibrant in the dark as it is in the day.
