In terms of connectivity, there are no major innovations compared to other products in the series. Not Up to Lenovo's Usual Standard
On the other hand, it seems that Lenovo tries to balance the performance, by using a lower TGP graphics card – 85W vs 90W on the Intel model. This, of course, is if you get the RTX 3050 or RTX 3050 Ti-equipped models. Interestingly, the AMD device adds the option to go for an RTX 3060, which is a nice advantage. We also run two tests from the cross-platform GPU benchmark GFXBench 5, which stresses both low-level routines like texturing and high-level, game-like image rendering. Instead, it is pretty similar to the one used in the previous year’s Legion 5 devices. In addition, the IdeaPad Gaming 3 (15″, 2022) is pretty portable with a profile of 21.8mm, and a weight of 2.32 kg. As for the GPU compute, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 has an excellent score, making it suitable for intensive tasks like video editing and 3D animation. That said, it's best to go with the RTX 3060 if you want the smoothest experience and fastest render times. The GTX 1650 can get the job done, but you'll likely experience some stutters and frame drops here and there, and it'll take longer to complete tasks. Now you know that the IdeaPad Gaming 3 (15″, 2022) features AMD CPUs, but what kind of processors can you choose from? You shouldn’t be too confused, as there are only two versions – one with the Ryzen 5 6600H, and one with the Ryzen 7 6800H. Yes, Lenovo opted for the 45W Zen 3+ family.
